un-tier all skills

Skill Wall: Offline has become Skill Wall: Online. If you want to wield a CLUB (DISCLAIMER THIS WEAPON PREDATES THE SPEAR) you have to spend 60+ REAL TIME HOURS grinding footman 60 and swordsman 60. If you want to use a bow, you must have a minimum sling skill of 30. If you want to make a small repair kit, you must have Artisan 60, construction 60, and masonry 60. Also, the fact that you can only get a secondary skill to 29.99 until you get the t1 skill to 60 is a slap in the face.

I think some Tiers make sense, but almost all weapons should be released. there is not good reason to make someone grind slings before accessing bows. You should also be able to equip many weapons without skill, but perhaps not be able to use it effectively or at all.

Also to be clear I do not support removing skill caps at all.

Disconnecting archery from slinger is, IMO, one of the things necessary for this game. I practice traditional archery (recurves and longbows without sights), and I can tell you that the muscle groups used are VERY different from those used to throw things. Also, crossbows should be their own skill. Most of the rest of the combat skills I don't have an issue with, except for maybe some of the armors. Regular padded armors should be available to every skillset across the board, as the gambeson was generally the single most common type of armor found on any soldier from this time period, from archers to spearmen to some lower-class nobles.

The melee weapon skills should be disconnected as well. Nobody learns to use axes before swords, swords before maces, etc. In reality, the axe is a more complex weapon to use than either the mace or the sword.

Given, I do believe armors should be restricted. I grew extremely tired of seeing full-plate archers in YO.
