[MOD] BasilMod::NoFloating - Stop Floating Objects Madness!

This mod is obsolete.
Since patch 1.1.2.3+ LiF have no floating physics.
Custom rotation and objects slope will be released as a separate mod.


Greetings, feudalists!

Are you aware of the floating logs and wardrobes?
Are your players tired of making screenshots during sieges?
Stop the madness of floating objects on your server!

Enable BasilMod::NoFloating on your server!



This is server-side and client-side mod.

This mod requires BasilMod::Pack v4 (or higher) installed and running on your server.
This mod is part of BasilMods bundle.

No client installation required. Once you join the server with this mod enabled, it will be autoloaded by your client.

Features
  • You cannot place object in the air. It will drop down!

Feaures to be released:
  • Once you remove bottom object from a pile, objects on top of it will collapse.
  • Certain types of objects (i.e. logs, wheelbarrow, carts) will roll over the ground, if ground slope is too high.

Server-side installation instructions.

I only see on movie wit this mod, and have one Question.
What with THROPYS or PAINTINGS on walls?

You can place them as you used to.
At this release objects can float inside buildings, imagine 'invisible strings'.
Next releases will introduce more strict placement rules (depending on your server mod config), when you can attach objects only to walls, ceiling, but cannot drop them in the air in the middle of the room.

Remmeber some (MOST) players hang trophies outside buildings, walls and on pilars or monuments :)

hi want be pround from his own trophies :D

But About MOD it's GRAT IDEA :D im install it on my own server when i back to home:D

In server config you can have:

<movableMaxDropHeightMeters>0</movableMaxDropHeightMeters> <!-- Allows you to restrict ability of players to hang logs, furniture and other movable objects in the air (range: 0 - 1000) -->


How exactly this mod differs?

I know even with 0 in config, players can still place logs on walls.

Is it possible to have a server-side only mod version?

If you didn't watch the video this mod differs because you can't float the objects in the air, they will "fall" down on whatever is below them.

Basil, there's a problem. Platform is not installed on the pillars. The patch that introduced this platform was immediately after this mod.

Patch notes (ver. 1.1.2.1):

New features and tweaks:

Implemented a physics model approximation for movable objects. You can no longer hang them in the air or place inside other objects or walls. Objects without collisions (decorations mostly) do not follow these rules and still can be hung in the air. Objects in destroyed buildings will still hang in the air. We will properly make fall/destruction of such objects in the next patch

So, this one mod is now deprecated?

yes, indeed. Same way as tradewindow mod, this one is now obsolete.

I guess that custom rotation and slope falloff will be moved to a separate mod.
