This means, that there is a client side part of the mod, which is required on client, so the mod can be functional.

Most of mods depends on BasilMod::Pack, so client part of the mod will be automatically downloaded once player joined the server.
Ofcourse, this would only happen if they have client-side basilmod::pack installed (i.e. basilmodloader.zip).

This is the only thing they are forced to install. After that, players should not worry about install/configure/remove anything manually if you change your server mod settings, add or remove certain mods. Basilmod::pack mod will ensure, that client state is intact.

So,
  1. Your players should be install basilmodloader.zip
  2. You should install basilmod::pack for the server
  3. Choose and install any of the mods
  4. Once joined, players will automatically download any required client parts from your server.
  5. Play LiF on modded server

No, they would either work or not.

Hello,

how does it exactly work?
I'm not sure because if I change recipes and so on and there is a new Update or Patch... Is everything reseted and deleted?

The MOTD mod doesn't seem to work on the 64bit beta branch. If I try to invoke the files it says it cannot find them. If I put in the full path, I received the following:

Current 32-bit .dso files are incompatible with 64-bit version of the server. New versions will be released soon.

Hi Custodian

We got a problem on our RP server on LIF YO.
We want to set the BasilMod on the server but it seems that the main pack also deletes the armor blueprints and that's something we want the disable and dunno how to proceed.
Would you please give us some tips ? :p

Make sure you are using latest version available.
Verify that you does not supply outdated xml files(and/or folders) which you have added to your content.cs.

This depends on your server host. If they support basilmods, BasilMod::Pack may be enabled from server control panel.

Hi, could you please show an example of how to use the switch command for different worldid in lets say for example the teleport mod? I am guessing maybe something like this?

You should reffer to official torque scripting guide: switch statement
You can also use if/else if/else statement.

Yes i saw video with war horn and it was amazing. You doing realy great work Basil. I saw video with moveable ships as well. I tried edit them in database but no success. Is there any instruction how can i do it?

This is probably a very very silly question, but I want to make sure I am not losing it.

This base pack allows you to have basil mod set up. You still need to manually add all the mods you want (ie, do the pack set up, then do MOTD, Announce and etc until you have the mods you desire for your server?

Again please forgive me if this question is completely remedial :)
