For some buildings and others wooden construction like the large house it would be cool to add the wooden tiles. Craftable from soft wood billet like pine and spruce.
Maybe it can be added as part of large buildings recipes with also clay tiles to not make the cost cheaper by simply construct from wood tiles only.
Or for low level wooden constructions like wooden house and wooden canopy. Maybe replace some wooden log for wooden tiles, or add a certain amount of wooden tile in the recipe. People love to craft, and new item and variety is good.
In a certain way it can limit the use of clay for buildings witch is a limited but largly used ressource in LiF world.

If one day racial buildings style are introduce in the game, the Slavard nation will preferably use wooden tiles in their design. And the Gottlung will use clay tiles.

In French it's called "le tavaillon" a traditionnal wooden tiles in Alpine region, made from soft wood like pine or spruce with a special cutting tool and a wooden hammer :
