Coming back to the game after a break and hit a snag.

When I click on a tile of rocks I can see "digging" which gives me only the option to dig down or forward. I have no "prospecting " options. My digging skill is on 35 and mining on 0. But I always thought that prospecting is available from the start and was doing it last time I was playing.
Where has my prospecting gone to ?

Hello A lot has changed while you were gone. Skill trees were reworked - you can see how they look like right now in here

In short, prospecting is unlocked upon unlocking Mining skill, but only for copper ore. You can learn more here. You can prospect up to Iron ore with Mining skill, and then you'll need Advanced Prospecting for silver and gold.
