Non existent trade

Post by Jacques_de_Molay » 20 Feb 2018, 22:33

LIF has no flourishing trade system.

i see several reasons

1) Horse carts are incredibly slow and are NOT practical for trading.
2) No ships for long distance trading
3) Trade center system is cumbersome and user unfriendly ( cmon at least add god damn filter/sort function to trade center list )
4) the only feasible trade hub, central NPC city, practically is not accessible by trade carts, other than guild that are right next to it.

any significant development in LIF trade/market will be possible only if we will develop trade hubs ( similar to Jita in Eve )
Having shit load of trade posts does not help this process, most people set up trade posts only to sell to crown, to get coin to feed monuments.
Linking trade centers in one will not help ether as than we would not travel for trade.

Passages between the islands should not be terraformed, which blocks passage for suture ships, we should build BRIDGES !!! like people always did.
They didn't really build dams across straights and even seas.

I would propose to fix transportation issues with introducing multi horse drown carts
as well as cart train, basically hook one cart to another and creating a train.

Harnessing 2-4- 6 horses would make the cart/train of carts pull faster, and better suited for traveling to mountaints
