Some frustrating issues

Post by Debent01 » 31 Jul 2017, 05:38

The black smithing is a real problem. Takes 3 whole trees to make 40 charcoal to make 58 lumps of iron and then I still can't make the nails for some reason. The amount of wood needed to do so many thing in this game is really way beyond what would be normal and wastes tons of trees and because you have to be fairly high you can't replant them as you cut them down.

The logic of how the skills are tiered in this game eludes me also. Things that you would need to know right away are so far down the list it takes forever to get to that skill. I don't get it.

Also, why is there no delete or demolish or destroy of items?? That one is really weird. So you have parts of fence in the most opportune spots because you made a mistake and now you can't get rid of them.

I set my LIFYO at 100 animals and I've seen 3 dear, 2 horses, 1 boar, 1 bear, 2 birds. I have nothing in my snares and I've moved them all over; oh take that back, I got one chicken. I've been playing for about a week and a half.

I was on Wurm for a year and I thought that was pretty impossible towards the end, but this has alot more issues earlier in the skilling up. Hope I didn't just put alot of money on alot of frustration.

PS, lol.

The Fuel just burns up WAAAY to fast, i.e. wood, charcoal. Unbelievably to fast.

One thing worth mentioning is that the skill multiplier for the MMO is going to be 0.5.. so, depending on the multiplier you've been playing with, be prepared for a grind.

So - first - try inspecting the trees for both age and quality. Use this link for help: https://lifeisfeudal.gamepedia.com/Tree

Notice that a high quality major Oak with 1200 durability will give you approximately 120 hardwood billets.

Making Charcoal: https://lifeisfeudal.gamepedia.com/Charcoal

Smelting: https://lifeisfeudal.gamepedia.com/Smelting

Forging: https://lifeisfeudal.gamepedia.com/Forging

To summarize - you are doing it wrong. At least in some areas. Review the above links and you'll see (and appreciate) the complexity of the game.
