Drawing from the richly recorded history of Iceland through sagas, historical studies and records Spjótland strives to be more than an in game guild or country. It is the goal of Spjótland to use this background not only to emulate an early Icelandic society, but to create a society in which players have the potential to completely and totally write the national story of Spjótland while simultaneously writing their own."
Spjótland is a new community in Life is Feudal that is unlike any other. After hundreds of hours of research and tireless passionate work we can boast of having one of, if not the most, thoroughly developed societal structures not only in Life is Feudal but almost any Sandbox MMORPG to date. And it's still growing and developing. Spjótland has not confined itself to the archetypes and tropes of other communities and "guilds" and thus has the capability to provide players who wish to become a part of Spjótland with a more authentic, entertaining, and individual experience.
Thanks to this structure we're capable of providing players the ability to pursue their own goals and to make their own stories at their own pace unburdened by the "goals of the guild," all the while still contributing. In Spjótland the individual matters, and this results in a number of things including: Private property, private enterprise, and domestic trade. All of these things are backed up by a thoroughly developed system of government and law. And for individuals who are more interested in the PvP aspect of the game, we've created a rewarding system of compensation and recognition for your efforts in battle.

It's not quite finished yet, still growing, changing, and becoming better, so some sections are more barren than others.
