Both mate, you aren't able to smith at a bloomery, its only used for smelting.
It takes many nails to make a crib, yet just one screw can fill it.

I would just build a forge and a bloom. The black smith shop is just a fancy forge and anvil, looks nice in a large compound or in castle walls with other shops but you need a bloom because it allows you to recycle iron items and get rid of those primitive tools you have laying around the melt in there and disappear. It is a fuel hog but we have found it very useful.

Hello guys!

Allright here a few infos:

Anvil + furnace got a capacity of 100 i think.
Bloomery of 400 (and you can smelt in stuff, like broken tools etc)

If you just want to SMELT stuff, use the bloomery!

About smithing:
As far as i know, the BLACKSMITH SHOP, willl ALWAYS produce Q100 Items!
Im not a smith myself, so i cant say for sure, but ppl in my group said so.

So its about quality ;) if your using the shops.

best regards,

Ontrose

I didnt realize the bit about quality and just remembered we were trying to find out why some armor one of our members made was always Q 100 he always worked in the blacksmith shop that clarifies it.

This is terrible information. I had to post to correct the record. The blacksmith shop gives a 20% bonus to items, very helpful when trying to produce quality items, so it's extremely useful to a smith, especially coupled with a blacksmith outfit, another 10% bonus. Also, it won't automatically produce 100q items.
