My question is, supposing a crafter wants to craft an item. Suppose further that the item's output quality is a factor of (1) the quality of the tool used to craft it (10%), (2) the quality of the materials (20%), and (3) the crafter's skill (70%). Finally, suppose further that the crafter has effective crafting skill of 130, while the materials used are average quality of 50 and the tool used to craft is quality 50.
Would the product still achieve 100q? If >100 skill does continue to improve quality, then am I correct that the crafter's skill alone would push the item's output quality to 91 (70% * 130) and the materials/tool would add another 15q?
Is this how the mechanics function?
