i set up a guild in a rush , and put a name in just to make a guild , now we have a few members would like to change the guild name , but unable to see how. Any help would be great

Open guild management page and go to 'Edit guild'. Changes will first apply only in the browser. You will see those changes in-game after a while.

ok, thanks, i had tried that in the guild management in game but saw no changes, will check again in a little while

its still not showing, i changed the charter and that shows instantly, have also tried looking at settings from the website under dashboard but there is no option to change it there. I'm presuming its the in game guild management you are referring to, i change it there update charter, and have seen no changes in like the past 8-10 hours

If that's the case, that it may be that restart is required. In any case, we are working on fixing this issue.

We're having the same problem, except that changes do not show up even in browser. I know it may not seem like a big deal, but it is if you're on Epleland.

Nope i'm trying to do this from time to time for many days now, no luck.

I thought it might be the case (however unrealistic), so i tried several names. It obviously doesnt work, for some reason.

same i keep trying every day or so to change using the in game edit guild , am on the avalon server and trying to use " Knackers Yard " as my new guild name i have tried both changing the guild name only, and guild and tag - tag was going to be "BEEF" but that can be changed to something else if it exists , but knackers yard appears to be free

So I guess this isn't working again due to the update? Any news on why we can't rename guilds?

Guild rename function was abused and partially bugged. People used it constantly to rename their guilds to stay off the radar and make it impossible to issue IB on them. It will remain unavailable, but we will probably bring it back in the future in some form.

What about making it an item with a minimal fee, like the character name thing, and then add a restriction that the guild must not have had any of their characters involved in an IB or have an active war for X number of days. Or even if there was PVP at all for a couple weeks?

How about to give the rename function a timer? One real time month should be enough.

We will be looking into possible solutions for guild name change in a way that it cannot be abused.
