This WILL NOT function properly trying to run a server from within the game client.. (That we are currently aware of or have discovered)

It requires either
1. purchasing a game server host that is kind enough to allow Database access (Such as this one, who has posted on this thread: BlueFangSolutions) [You're welcome lol]
OR
2. Following these steps to create a DEDICATED server from your own machine (In simple terms: "dedicated" 99% of the time means that its only function will be to keep track of multiplayer functionality and will not be attached to a client)

[this includes]
the game server itself
AND a MySQL server running in the background to store the servers data
AND HeidiSQL (in this case) (Database management/viewing software)

Which there is a fairly readable guide: Life is Feudal - VPS/Dedicated Server Setup Guide

Which begins with the step of opening Steam, hover over LIBRARY, select TOOLS, and installing "Life is Feudal: Your Own Dedicated Server.

I will add some of this to the main post

SIDE NOTE: Running a (just about any..) game server and having as much control as possible when acting as admin over YOUR OWN server.. Does require some technical research and knowledge..

The good news is... Once you understand the basics of how the software, clients and servers communicate, they all run on the same principles and the knowledge can be applied to other game servers in the future..

You need to create a DEDICATED SERVER if you want to get all the options we've found out. Go to steam, browse tools, download Life is feudal dedicated server. Set him up (Tutorials about dedicated server are also here in the forums) and then access the database.

That was almost my guess after reading the 9 pages here :D Thank you for that clear clarification mate! I just hope those GM tools that come out with the patch tomorrow (or soon), will then actually work also for those ingame created worlds. Can't wait to insta-rebuild the lovely fortress and village I had on public server #5 until the server broke and they decided to not fix it :P

Hmmm... Drunk & digging for commands... this should end well.... 8-)

Currently testing scripts:
If anyone is interested/curious about doing the same.. You can reload your script to test changes via the console with

exec("scripts/client/torbinds.cs");

without having to reload client

(at least I haven't noticed it clashing with previously loaded, same file yet)

adding GOD MODE 'ALT+Z' keybind to script.. [simple version, might add a toggle for it if i take the time to find resetting char skills]

Hey everyone. I just created a googledocs spreadsheet.

Note: I am very new to spreadsheets AND datamining. So i manually type random numbers in the console and just post them on the spreadsheet when i find some results. Since I do not have a system for going through numbers, i suggest that you use the ctrl+f to actually find what you are looking for.

People are welcome to contribute.

if you write /add in console it shows you how the /add command works

That I have done, some hours ago. I am totally new to sql and that jazz, so it was very confusing. It seemed/seems like I can see the items currently on the server. But of course they do not have names. So my project is more about putting names to the ID's and so on.

I am clearly not someone who should do things like this :oops: But i was just so happy that i found commands that worked and I am starting so see some systems in the actual numbers that I find in the console. Ex numbers 797-875(and possibly higher) is armourparts.

What OS can the server run on?

I have a 2012r2 that i can't find on the server list, but the ports are open and firewall off?

Easier: Go to the wiki and add items by plain text. Example:

/add "Heavy chainmail breastplate" X(Ammount) Y(Qualtiy) Z(Durability)

no need for stupid Id's :D

Just so you guys know there is actually an official page with these and more commands on it like changing weather and growing crops (which I couldn't get to work)

Will be cleaning up main post to hopefully be much more readable, adding some useful links and improving "god mode" keybind a little bit.. Once that's finished I think we're pretty much done here. Unless something really good breaks out.

If you call it without params it spawns a boar, hitting it will crash the server.

Haven't tested params of it yet

Hi. I am trying to rise my war horse handlling skill via GM command, but i have still the same answer. Skill was not found. Can anyone tell me what to do? Thx. (i am using my own server, not dedicated)

temporary fix for ore and such in your inventory:
(GM must be on)

add a backback in your inv., put ore inside, drop backback, delete backpack on ground

Agreed, I saw that as well I just wanted to be able to provide a comprehensive list as opposed to a paginated interface. It is pretty with the icons though.
