I hear the map was going to be huge and also hope for some features to be in it. I really think the game would be more fun if they add a weather system (rain, wind, snow, fog,...) , different environments (desert, snow, tropical rainforest,...) each with its different resources and problems to solve (this will inspire ''kingdoms'' to have trade routes with the others) and lots of places to gather water (rivers, huge lakes, small lakes, oasis,...). I really dont expect them to do all this by the end of the next year, but if they did, the game would surely be way better.

Remember this is a very early alpha, things like weather and seasons are more than likely coming down the road (and most likely will impact farming/hunger/hunting/warfare).

I really hope for a proper weather system that affects our gameplay in bigger terms. Like each season lasts 1-2 weeks and our production of certain goods is limited by weather.
I lol'd a bit about reading of different enviroments. I tried to imagine an island where you get desert, snowy area and tropical rainforest
But well, world is big, maybe there are some places I don't know of.

The map kinda looks still small and i didnt know it was also gonna be an Island. But it looks to have different environments, which is good. They could make the map in a way that if you reach one of its sides and walk a bit longer you would end up on the oposite side of the map. @@@@@@@@@ autocorrect!

Only someone who hasn't got a clue what he's talking can say that MMO map is small. I happen to have been a pre alpha tester on the MMO map before YO came out and I can tell you need about 30 mins to walk from only one tile to another on that map. You call that map small? You'd need like a half RL day to walk from one corner to the opposite corner...

Ok just to make this clear. The existing mmo map will be the starter area and is nothing compared to the actual mmo map, wich will have all kinds of biomes.
the existing one already has most kinds.
also, there already is weather in game that influences the amount of crops you harvest.
its just not visible yet.
to answer the topic, mmo will propably come out mid 2015,
as bobik stated somewhere.

Maybe they could make a map generator? Like one for each mega server. This would allow players to chose which map they wanna play on and perhaps in the future make their own mods&maps for the game. Perhaps one representing Europe.
