What is a Trader City? how does that work? is it like a place to hang out?

The trade City affectionately refered to as Bears Head is found at the Heart of Asgard with two main roads running east and west for easy access for all law abiding citizens of the realm. The trader city offers amenities such as:

All crafting stations and buildings which offer 20% bonus to Quality of crafted wares.

Regular Guard Rotations by The Guard members to provide protection from thieves, raiders & N'er do-wells. Please note that the safety is confined to Bears head , not her roads so Traders might do well to hire armed guard when bringing their wares for barter!

We prefer a slower build process with meaningful combats and light RP. We have dropped a pretty penny on our hardware and have no intention of leaving for the MMO, so your hard-work will not be going anywhere. That being said the only Wipe that would happen if the LiF Updates demand it would be map based, characters would stay, But we do not see this being needed after our scripting and work on our Dev server we run all changes on first. What is the average up time on this server? I have been playing on it for a couple of days now but it seems the server is down for 12+ hours per day. Have I been unlucky with your team working on the server recently or is this typical for Asgard?

Edit: Just found this up-time ranking list, you guys are ranked 9. Keep up the hard work!

We boasted one of the highest up-times of all LiF servers until the last two days unfortunately. We had some Technical difficulties that were remedy by EAG as quickly as physically possibly within the constraints of real life (Ugh!). The server is back up and running with smooth sailing for the foresee-able future. Thank you or your patience and understanding, we will be doing somethings to make up or the lost playtime.

Outage ! OH NO. Its ok its better now!

Hello Today there was an Outage that lasted about 6hr. There was an issue at the Datacenter where our Server is hosted. Due to the nature of the problem at their site we had to change IP address . We own our two physical servers, the game server and the web / team speak server. And the fastest way to get it back online, required it to move to a new Server Rack and the new rack came with 2 new IPs. 184.95.187.201 = game server 184.95.187.202 = teamspeak - web .

So this means a few things 1. if you have the server in your favorites in steam you will have to re add and 2. We had to change our DNS info so it may take up to a day for our DNS names to work right , as the new info works its way around the world. We are bummed it was down to , but honestly it was an odd problem, and one I don't see happening again.

Moving stall to stall in Bears Head perusing the fine crafts and wares from all over Asgard, you hear two men whispering and seeming to point at a piece of parchment. They notice your attention and quickly attempt to run. The two men stumble, and run headlong with a loud clank into the Iron plate of a large smiling guard you recognize as Cerberus. “Going somewhere in a hurry are we?” Cerberus smirks.

The older man with wiry hair and missing a few teeth began to speak before his younger more headstrong compatriot interrupted. The man with dark eyes and many blades about his belt, raised his right hand as he spoke, you notice his index finger was missing. “We were just on our way out of town sir. Nothing to bother with.” Cerberus smiled again and deftly snatched the parchment from the cowering rat of a man. Cerberus murmured, “Hmmm this looks interesting.” Glancing again at the Nine-Fingered man. “Wait, you look familiar….” Before anyone could react the Nine-fingered man shoved the sniveling street rat into Cerberus, with two steps off of a box and barrel scaled the roof of the Trading Post and was out of sight.

Cerberus crams the weathered parchment into your hands as he sprints off into the distance laughing. You can hear him yell, “I love this part! The Chase is on!” Bewildered you began reading the parchment, not even noticing the other man slink off into the shadows.
