The Reeplex is a multi-server based community that actively hosts public servers on all types of different steam Games, majority of them being an RP setting. Recently, we have turned our attention to Life is Feudal, and wish to host a growing RP sub-community within it. We are very skilled when it comes to the technical department, and have high performance equipment to provide a lag-free, stable server, as well as making sure the server will never wipe.
Our goal for RP is very PVP driven since most excitement and development come from PVP, this being said, the PVP system will be a Game of Thrones type deal, in the sense that the only real slaughters and full-scale battles should be between two or more houses that are already established, and dangerous.
However, as this Community is fond of PVP-RP interactions, this doesn't mean it doesn't have a set of rules/guidelines you must follow, PVP rules have been implemented to make it fair for both sides, and to also protect those that do not wish to PVP; for example, NO KOS, or PVP engagements have to have an RP reason. Our Goal in this is to generate a fun, dynamic story while making it fair.
The premise for our server is, the world of Emmeria, a very similar concept to that of Game of Thrones, and heavily inspired from the TV show and books but also blended in with real life medieval times. You’ll see a lot of similarities in the server from these settings.
The world of Emmeria is split into 6 regions, these regions controlled by the most established Faction/Guild/House who will be named Great Lord/Lady of the land by the King, once they receive this title, they may enforce rules on their territory, and they may go to war with other Regions if just.
Once the title "Great Lord" is received, you are responsible for your people. If they commit a crime, you must either sanction them or reward them, depending on what type of Leader you are, however, promoting bad behavior from your people, and have them commit crimes in other regions could cause a war. As the Great Lord/Lady, you should have established an army, and actively patrol the settlements in your territory, and protect them from invading forces such as Bandits and what not.
Realistic stats:
- Skill cap: We believe that a lower Skill cap provides better variety in role play scenarios. For example, having this will promote establishing a village/town if they want to progress to anything above tier 2, this promotes interaction between players, and allows for small communities around to map to build up. 1300 has proven to be the soft spot for us.
- 100x skill multiplier: The game itself even without a high skill multiplier is still a grind, having a low skill multiplier means that more effort and time will go on getting up your skill, rather than interacting, and role-playing with others, so hopefully eliminating the biggest grind will allow for more time in the sense of interacting with others.
- Decay: RP is our number one concern, and for those that wish to RP far from any cities or settlements up in the mountains or in the woods aren't going to be affected by Decay, our GMs will actively go around and keep an eye on in-active settlements and remove them by hand, this will allow for the correct buildings to be removed, rather than have a script remove everything that meets the criteria.
Realism in RP
- It is our priority to keep the RP as immersive as possible, so for this, we've created RP rules to help enforce that.
- Global Chat: When it comes to Global Chat, you are not allowed to include any IC information through it, only OOC information, if you wish to communicate through IC means in Global, you may use a Raven to justify the action.
- Judgement Hour: We do not have Judgement Hour enabled on the server, however, for important events, it will be enabled, for example, a guild which is at war with another guild succumbs to utter defeat, it will be turned on so the opposing force can either pillage them, or spare them mercy.
- Claims: Claims will be judged based on their tier, or what sort of buildings you have in your claim. The Higher the Claim, the better the Buildings, the more status and power, simple.
- Frequent Events: Our goal is to keep the server diverse and engaging with regular events. These events will hopefully appeal to the players, some event examples would be, a Tournament in the Kingdom which would consist of sword fighting, jousting, free for all, all that fun stuff, or complete quests for the King to receive rewards or Piety redemption.
Active GMs/Experienced GMs
- The thing we strive to achieve when it comes to our staff is that we are here to promote Events and RP interactions, the GMs in no way, use their power for their own advantage to make themselves powerful and give themselves the upper-hand in the community. They are here to enforce the rules, and make playing on the server enjoyable. The Current GMs are experienced as they've been hand-picked from previous sub-communities within the community.
- GM Spawning: GMs do not spawn things for themselves, however in the event that they need to spawn in an Item or Items for an event or to refund a player, they will have to get permission from the head GM, who will either approve or deny it.
- GM Conflict: If a GM's guild is involved in a conflict with another Guild, they are in no right to rule the battlefield, or the sieges, they'll need to request a fellow GM to monitor them if required.
- GM Buildings: GMs are not allowed to spawn themselves buildings, unless they spawn them within the designated area, for example, Event Areas that are public, or the Kingdom. If they are outside these regions, they're breaking a rule.
- Reporting a GM: Reporting a GM is done through our steam group, we have a community website, however, we found it unnecessary to use it for Life is Feudal. On the page, you can provide the necessary details to allow for us to take action on the GM.
Community Motto
- Our Community Motto has always been, "Keep Drama out the door", we're a community that has been established on the goals of simply having fun without the Drama. We have no tolerance for Drama, simply be respectful, don't be sexist, racist, and stay in good sportsmanship. Griefers will be dealt with almost instantly.
