The Duchy of Brandenburg is an international community, with players from all around the world coming together to enjoy our well ordered and exciting community. We maintain a balance between the intense combat that Life is Feudal supplies, and the rewarding construction of our cities, in order to make our clan suitable for all.



-Clan Structure-

Every member of Brandenburg starts as a peasant. They then can progress to the rank of Craftsman, once they have chosen an area of civilian life to specialize in - and have shown their dedication. Foremen oversee specific ongoing construction and work sites. Craftsmen can also choose to become Clerks or Envoys, who as members of the administration branch are in charge of the clans logistics, as well as representing the clan to other clans and to new members.

Brandenburg does not have a standing military, aside from a small retinue which consists of Sergeants, the veterans of our military. Progression within the military and civilian/administration branches are independent, meaning a foreman could be a footman, rather than a Sergeant, or vice versa. Any rank who does not have the sufficient skill to use 'proper' weapons, will be classed as peasants, or levies, before progressing to Footmen or Archers.

- We hope to be adding a system of parliament when our clan grows considerably, in order to give a voice to the lower ranks in our clan - and to allow an autonomous running of the clan when the Duke is not present, as small matters will be able to be voted on.
