Development News #38 - A Peek Inside Our Art Team’s Minds

Hey everyone!

In today’s development news we’re sharing a peek at our awesome art team’s work!

Our artists have started creating the initial settlement for the ‘Newbie Island’ - a place where players start their MMO journey, before venturing forth to the main continent.

There are more plans on the horizon and lots of work to be done; we’ll be adding new content over time, prioritizing what we believe to be the most important.

On top of this, other tasks continue to receive the artists’ attention, of course! Check out these new fear-inducing additions to the natives’ arsenal, for example.

All three states of kite shield damage are also finished. The shield will be craftable using regional-based resources.

The team is also continuing to work on improving and adding to the Gottlung wardrobe - including working on the Gottlung-style padded armor.

While I'm glad to see an update on artwork, I can't be the only one who's wondering about the MMO being delayed from june to december and now to an unspecified date. It's been months since wave 1 and more than 6 since wave 0. Has there even been an announcement regarding any MMO-related timelines beyond the "holiday break"?

I really like the look of the enemy weapons, will these be lootable and usable by players who defeat these types of enemies?

Also, when can we see implementation of racial armor/skins for items? The armor is looking good!

I saw that bell towers were mentioned! Will these be part of an alarm system that will be used for members of a realm?

whats this bs this isnt an update... what about combat.. is it fixed no... what about the immense amounts of lag going from server to server... ohh and the 10 min lag while logging in. what about wave2 when is that coming... this is terrible why would you even post this

he can say whateva he wants mate , especially when you have a couple of coders being the slowest coders on earth, and once you sell you're game to customers it is not really there game anymore. we pay their wages

Maybe because they want everything to be perfect? I am sure that this issues are in work now, or even close to being finished.
