Hello,

The trees or crops wont grow on my server.
They have been planted 4-5 irl days ago and still they haven't grown a single stage.

My server is hosted by blackboxservers.net

My Day/night cycle is set to 3.0
I tried 2.0 and 1.0 aswel but no change.

Since the last patch i can manually let the crops grow but not the trees.

Anyone got an idea how to fix this ...?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

On our server we have the same problem. I tried with GM-mode. The cropse did grow, trees didnt.

We tried several growing speed. Nothing seems to work. Now we give it a last try, then i fear i have to search for a server where growing is working.

Yeah, our trees are growing, but not the crops. Also using blackboxservers.com

all people that i know having this problem are on blackbox servers and it's an official hosting service... somethings goes wrong

Here is the log file. Check in the bottom. I planted a seed just before i saved the log file. There might be some useful information there.

I have this problem too. I have 2 private dedicated servers and have tried it on both. This is driving me crazy. Is there no fix for this bug?

I was having a similar problem (the crops grew, but then never became harvestable), after playing a while I also realized that the day cycle was not changing. I contacted my friend who is running the server, he rebooted it and everything went back to normal.

My point is that it appeared that time stopped on the server, which a reboot fixed.

Maybe our issue is related to the time cycle and really to the growth times at all?

What helped for me is a hint the guys at blackboxservers gave me. I stopped the server, ran steam update and finally restarted the server. Afterwards i was able to cheat a bit with gm command grow. Will monitor if crops will continue to grow.

I tried this already at our server. With the GM-Command /grow only crops is actually growing. Trees ignore the command.

Sounds like a bug ... have you reported it properly?

We've got Blackbox server. After a night of investigation, this issue only affects Blackbox servers.

They are totally uncompetent! They tried to movev our server, give us a new ip, increase MYSQL connections but nothing to do...

I think we will ask for a refund a looking for an other provider more serious and professional

We are having the same issue. We contacted blackbox and they "increased the MYSQL connection limit of your server by tenfold"

This seems to have fixed the crop growth, but, the apple trees still produce no apples.

Im not sure whats going on with the trees. They will go from a sprout with 27 quality to a major tree with 27 quality. No further growth after that and no fruit.

Hey guys. I don't mean to rub salt in the wound but my server is growing great, if anything to fast. I will be editing to lower the speed. Top of my head I forget the settings but will post them once I'm on my computer later. Btw I'm on bluefang

I have the same problem with my LiFE server: YO no trees want to push, I have to adjust my "DayCycle" has 3 crops grow, but not the trees

Anyways on that note, there is a thread here somewhere actually many threads (too lazy to search for them atm, I believe this thread also goes into some detail) that describe why it works the way it does in great detail.. Basically the tree/crop growth ticks afaik only occur when the weather changes from rain to sun or sun to rain which is why they appear to grow at such a slow rate, this is also why they will not grow during winter because it “snows” instead of “rains” which doesn’t count as a growth tick when it switches to a clear day..

As far as the trees go, they seem to take a very long time regardless of your day cycle settings or ticks because well they're tress haha.. in general they just seem to take ages to grow, but you can also modify that if you look at the cm_forest_maintenance.xml file in the data directory on your server..

Ok so if I understand Iomega0318 correctly, nothing grows during the winter months?

I just got in the game on the last day of CBT , but I've been doing my own LiF:YO and it's only 26 February. So do I just have to sit around and wait for March/April for my wheat and flax to grow so that I can actually start building more advanced structures and taming wild animals?

Is there a work around for this, because the "Gather Wild Plants" under farming has only produced 20 flax stems after hours in rl trying to gather?
