The
Manaslu Circuit Trek is a famous and demanding trek in Nepal, which provides breathtaking vistas of snow-capped peaks, natural forests, and traditional villages. It is named after the eighth highest peak in the world, Mount Manaslu, and traverses through different landscapes, such as lush green forests, terraced fields, high mountain passes, and glaciers.
The journey begins from Arughat, meandering along the Budi Gandaki River valley, taking in various villages and monasteries. Then it crosses the Larkya La Pass at an altitude of 5,160 meters and descends to the Marsyangdi Valley, culminating at Besisahar.
This trek usually takes 15 to 20 days, depending on the itinerary and walking speed, and the best time to undertake it is from September to November or March to May when the weather is pleasant and clear, affording remarkable views.
However, the Manaslu Circuit Trek necessitates good physical fitness and prior high-altitude trekking experience since the trail can be challenging and arduous. It's advisable to hire a guide and porter as they can assist with navigation, carry equipment, and offer local knowledge.
