Nomads/Immigrants/New Settlers

-1
I would really like the option to have incoming peaceful new citizens like the nomads in Banished. If you accepted them, they added an interesting level of challenge, especially if they arrived in large numbers (see gif below). They needed houses, food, clothing, education, and jobs. They sometimes brought disease with them, especially if you had a mod that increased the chance of catching and spreading disease.

I know some people didn't like having to deal with nomads, so optional would be good. Thanks.

Ooops, forgot the bbcode for the gif... 369 nomads... notice that most start out homeless:

Also, I would love it if the opposite could happen - a group of your current citizens could decide to immigrate to another place, leaving you with jobs and housing to fill.

I don't like the idea to copy Banished from A to Z.

The game is already a copy of Banished, but I agree that it doesn't have to be identical. Some examples:

    • Settlers could bring animals or new technology with them, making them possibly more interesting to accept.
    • A few citizens of your town decide they want to be settlers and *leave* your town if they feel it is too big for them.
