See attachment below. The balance between zones in my idea could be improved greatly. This is just the starting point for discussion. I know it is unlikely since the Devs seem so anti-wipe. But I was bored and figured I would give it a go anyway. Enjoy.. :D

Wipe will kill the game, people having to rebuild (we build 3 cities in CBT and in OBT we are at our 5 claim and we are building them by need not because we like to build), also everyone will have claims in green and go in red to fight...against who? The moment a claim will appear in red it will be attacked by everyone for the fun of it, and because they they suffer no repercussion and there is no way for the guy in red to do any notable damage on his attackers

I have no doubt that some people would quit the game if there was a merge/item wipe. But I don't feel it would be as dire as you predict. You see people are already quiting the game in large numbers because a lot of the servers are becoming ghosts towns. Players are so spread out right now with all these different servers. There are other reasons people quit as well but the fact that you can run for miles and never see another living soul is a problem that could be addressed with a merge. I'm guessing you would also get a lot of people coming back for the whole "frenzied landrush" mentality that happens anytime a new server opens as people try to snap up that perfect strategic spot in the world. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a boost in player numbers. Of course I could be wrong, I'm not a mind reader and can only speak for myself.

To your other point, think of Red zones on the map like null sec in Eve online, Better resources, unrestricted PVP, Big wars over those resources. Big PVP guilds will absolutely fight to claim and hold those areas. And the towns could only be attacked during JH, otherwise they would be immune like every other zone. Perhaps you misunderstood my suggestion concerning red rones. ;)

Are you saying that resources should be easier to get in Red Zones? More risk, more reward situation? Because your picture doesn't mention that.

I agree with it for the most part, just wondering about the above as it is a important question.

Sorry I wasn't very clear. To build complex stuff you would need resources from all 3 zones, red, yellow, and green. Building low end stuff would only require green resources. Meaning people playing in the green areas would either have to travel into red to get the higher end resources or trade with people who live and harvest there. Kind of how it works in eve, If you want ABC minerals, the best place to get them is nullsec. It forces trade and supply routes between the 3 areas which would open up pvp, bad guys hitting trade convoys and such. But green areas should, like eve, be safer based on experience loss on death and alinement hit on murder. PVE's get what they want, Pvper's get what they want, everyone is mostly happy. I hope that makes more sense.

The idea of a central capital is one I like better, but I would apply your idea of several other towns, which then are placed in the green ring.

Row A & row Z are connected seamlessly. This means if you travel east or west in a straight line you will always end up back where you started. The reason for giving the crown more smaller towns is because the map is so much bigger and green zones should have life a bit easier since their resources are capped, it's a trade off. .

Also how to distinguish green, orange and red people? I would say by the location of their claims. If there is no claim, they are treated like red players. .

Players won't be flagged in any such way, the rules of green/red/yellow apply to everyone depending on which zone they are currently standing in. Players who commit murders in red will get no alinement loss and can freely move back to yellow and green without any criminal status/ The game would simply apply alinement loss depending on which type of zone the murder is committed in.

Also red players being criminals on orange and green areas, orange players being neutral on red and criminal on green.

I generally like the idea of including different playstyles on one map, so people can move to the next stage by moving.
