Maybe it can introduce the recipe to create salt with a fireplace and a pot from sea water (advanced agriculture or cooking skill?). Then using a barrel type container to put meat and a certain quantity of salt (like 10 stones) to stop the decay. In other type of container the raw meat should decay until it's not transform in food by a cooker.
This idea could be a new way to introduce a bigger barrel of 500 stones (like those cool big barrel we see inside warehouse model)
I agree with this idea. I've got so much raw meat and I never have to worry about using it up. It would be a cool idea to need to worry about managing food, as opposed to just hoarding 250+ stones of raw meat in your barrels.
If food spoilage/decay was implemented, it'd also be nice to have things to mitigate decay, such as salting, drying, pickling, root cellars, etc. Would really help branch out food production too for both ingredients and prepared meals.
