    I absolutely agree. It is imperative that some animals could be used to "attach" them to a cart and then we can, instead of "pick up cart", "ride cart".

    The animals should also be able to be detached and put back to stables or barns!

    And they should be able to be killed when pulling a cart, too. And drop stuff. As If they were wild animals that you kill.

    They could make it so that you still need to man the plough, by making the cow go, and increase the speed of plowing by a bit.

    Animals were a big part of life in medieval times from pulling carts, plows, and doing caravans. I think if this is not added, it would be a waste and make the game feel less real. How do you think people cleared land to farm and take trade items to markets far away.... with animals and they need to have their due in this game as well. This would be great for the game especially if they ended up putting breeding into the game say for stronger animals or faster ones. Strong ones could pull more weight and faster ones could get people to places faster than regular ones. This may add to much complexity to the game, but it would be a neat concept and it would end up helping the game economy and ascetics by making it feel more real.

    I don't know about cows pulling carts, but certainly a horse could. Same goes for plows, but you do need someone to direct and steer them in both cases. I'd also like to see us be able to use horses as pack horses to carry stuff (or add pack mules).

    bigger carts would implement a horse and buggy or a buckboard for traveling with large materials or just bulk of smaller items. makes it easier to build fortifications around places where all the nessessary elements are not so close but the placing of the base is a great spot. i like it !!!!!! :D

    Hi Guys
    I just recently bought the game and are amazed at the complexity and beauty of this game.
    After a few days of serious work in game I was able to craft a trader cart and to my regret I did not read up about the speed. Maybe increase the speed of the cart, especially on paved roads and by lowering the strength needed to pull the cart at top speed to say 30 to 35.(Wiki states 35-40). I would like to see better steering of the cart as well, not to stop and turn but turning while on the move. Also, perhaps a bit of physics with faster downhill and slower uphill. Love the idea of horses or oxen to pull the carts, it would bring in so much reality into this wonderful digital world we all share.

    Maybe we could breed special type of horses or donkey specially for transportation like having a buff on speed when doing transportation or a buff on stamina.

    The way I see it, some animals are kinda like ships in Eve online. That means different skills for mounts depending on the breed of that animals. If you see horses and other animals like the equivalent of ships in other games the possibilities of skills, perks and items are endless.

    I absolutely agree with this idea. Animal pulling carts (maybe larger carts specifically for animals to pull it) it is pretty feudal and would agilize the game a lot (a lot more if you can make a larger cart that can hold building logs, pulled by animals). But this is not the only benefit. Have animal pulled carts will have a major impact in economics, because players could trade using those carts and make even trader rutes... and with that... well... bandits and mercenaries/soldiers to protect from bandits. Carts pulled by animals could set a whole new level of gameplay

    Black desert online would be a perfect example, on how to handle this subject. in black desert, you have stables and you can hook up different teams or you can start out with a donkey then get a horse, etc. you can also make reapirs on wagons etc. theri are diffrent types os wagons...

    If we are going to have mules in this game, we need to first have donkeys. The donkeys have to be bred with horses in order to produce infertile mules.

    Male donkey, female horse. If you go the other way around, you get a hinny.

    On a side note, will artificial insemination be added to Animal Lore at some point?

    To chime in on the logic here, having wheels and no animals to use them is a bit strange.

    If we look at Native Americans, they had no animal that could be domesticated which could pull a cart. The biggest ones were alpacas and llamas, which are not fit for the task. This is not because they could not invent the wheel - wheels were used in pottery and there are even toys with wheels.

    The northern climates where it always snows - again, no use for the wheel. Dog sleds are most adjusted to the environment.

    Africa, mostly the southern half without camels, had no use for wheels. Island nations too.

    Moreover, the wheel becomes more popular once you actually have roads, especially roads that connect cities. You technically need a pretty large population for this, but maybe it's best for us to overlook this lest we have to deal with a requirement of 3,000 players needed to turn their guild into a small kingdom.

    I had also suggested something similar t this. I think The warhorse training skill could be a little different.
    1) Add draft horses that can pull carts over rougher terrain and with greater ease. With this they can even add new items such as a horse drawn plough that can improve the time it takes to tend the fields. Also larger horse carts capable of carrying more and something most games are missing carriages than can carry multiple players to allow a group to stay together better doing long trips (could even need two horses to pull the carriage).
    2) Add different ways to train a horse rather than just running them a ways and turning back in time.
    -Courrier horse: Long distance running w/o letting the stamina drop below certain point.
    -Draft horse: Pulling a cart over various terrain.
    -War horse: Running around/jumping obstacles
    3) Different training methods will produce different horses and the quality varies based on how well you did and your level.

    Also a different skill branch or just higher level of taming could be war dog training. This could allow you to tame a wolf and use it to guard outposts, gates, claims or fight along side you or something. Just an added dynamic.

    Honestly can change war horse training to just say animal training and the higher level you are allows you to tame different animals. Low level would be cows and bulls for pulling ploughs/carts and such, then horses for draft or courier then war horses and finally war dogs.
