I know this maybe in the works but tunneling is just broken. We need to able to better looking tunnels and mines. Adding more options like removable tunnels, round tunnels, placement of objects, and terranformable.

Recently dug tunnels will start to decay slowly and will cave in and perish in a few in game days. Players will be able to construct supporting beams or supporting columns to properly support tunnel walls and ceiling if they are interested in returning back home safe after a long workday in the mines :)

I think it would be much better if tunnels could be stabilized so every tunnelpart has an integrity which is most of the time stable but could get worse because of influences from outside. That mens in some parts of tunnels there where a need for support logs or boards.

And the urgently thing which have to get fixed is the blocking area around tunnel so at least we should be able to fill up old tunnel systems.
Otherwise it would be helpful if stone could be flattened too. It is shit that stone only can digged and after that it is a tunnel even if it is upside on earth ground.

sorry for my bad english hope everyone knows what i mean XD :D

People would easily stash all their valuables underground in very hard to find locations. So raiding mechanics would go wasted. Having underground storage could be a game changer. Underground furniture and/or lighting I could see being fun though.

well, the game is not made just for raiders ease...in reality, everybody does his best to keep his own from being stolen...

From my experience of mining it does pull out like square blocks which really suck being in 3rd person. It needs to remove about a block and a half to get the view better. I would suggest more less a block out with a half block above you arched out.

Ah, by the way... (I do not know how to edit a post in this forum, so sorry for a double-post)

Flattening a rocky ground should also be possible with terra-forming, even if that means, it would double, tripple or whatever the time needed to do it. Of course that would not be possible with a shovel, but you would need the pick.

Paving on rock would also be nice, even if it would be more time consuming.

    Agreed!

It needs to be able to terraform tunnels. You should be able to place objects *like torches* and while beeing there... Why does it seem, that there is more light in a mine, than under the sky during a night?

Another thing: I would like to vote for: Beeing able to refile a tunnel or close it off.

Another thing: Beeing able to carmorflag a tunnel would also be nice. An escape tunnel is a nessecary option for any castle and it also allows a sneak attack during a siege. For Bandits it would also supply a good way to creat a hideout.

Another thing: Note sure if this is coverd by being able to place objects, but... Can you build something on a tunnel-floor? I mean, theoretically you could cut of the top of a mountain to build your castle there... A lot of work and time consuming... but well... A castle or house on a moutain is just cool, isn't it?

As the others already said... Terraforming, decorating and over all, working with a tunnel beside digging in it, would be nice.

Agree here also, currently the only way to get rid of stone is to tunnel, but you can't build anything there. I'd like to carve out parts of the mountain to build on, currently cannot do that as you can't do anything in tunnels. Make them fully terraforming.

I agree, digging now looks like minecraft blocks, and I don't play that game for the very reason that everything looks like blocks.
It would be nice to have rounded edges when you dig/mine,
if possible even tunnels that can go sideways (instead of only angles of 90 degrees)
but only if possible of course, but it would make a descending or ascending cave easier.

I do fully agree with this suggestion - we need torches at the wall - forking ways - even a little trolley - maybe some storagerooms. Of course this comes at a price - you have to take care of the stability of the mine - even some minedesasters are imaginable. And the entrance of the mines must look proper.
Also working in a mine should be unhealthy in the long term ...
