Order of the Rose

Order of the Rose is a Military Order of House York, which helps the poor and innocent.

Rules
1) Prompt obedience to orders
2) No confiscation of peasent property
3) Defend the citizens of realm
4) Be polite when speaking
5) Be honest when buuing and selling
6) Pay compensation for everything damaged
7) Do not harm those who are loyal and belong to our Kingdom
Do not damage Crops or Farms
9) Do not harass people
10) Do not Mistreat Prisoners

Three Rules of Discipline
1) Obey orders in all your actions
2) Do not take anything that does not belong to you
3) Turn in everything captured

Roster

Grand Marshal
The Marshal is in charge of all arms, as well as all horses.

Knight
The knight is the backbone of the battlefield. A small force of knights are very powerful, and skilled in warfare.

Sergeant
Usually from a lower social class than the more noble knights, the Sergeant is still a light cavalry officer, the chief support officer for the knight.

Treasurer
The Treasurer's duties are clear — this is the guy who keeps the books. (Administration Work).

Squires
Squires are the young men who are there to assist the knight in any way possible, from polishing his weapons to feeding his horses. Squires are here specifically to train and one day become a knight.

Article One: Citizen Rights

The following rights are guaranteed to each citizen of our kingdom. It is the responsibility of our leader to ensure that every citizen is not denied their rights.

All citizens of our kingdom will respect each other. From King to Volunteer each rank deserves some respect. Disrespecting other citizens regardless of rank is grounds for dismissal. Let us treat our fellow citizens of how we want them to treat us. This should prevent conflicts within our kingdom.

Our kingdom's religion and culture will relate to it's lore. Every citizen has the right to practice the religion and culture of their choice. Religious and cultural events are voluntary.

Every citizen will be granted a residence and space to store their personal property. Anything and everything you need will be provided by our kingdom.

Every citizen who has a civil profession will be part of the militia. For example if our settlement is under siege each citizen with a civil profession may or may not join up to form the militia and man the battlements.

As a citizen you have the right to know what is going on in our kingdom. Parliament meetings are open to every citizen. In order to keep our members informed, the subject and outcome of all meetings will be recorded in our archives.

As a citizen engagement is authorized if you have been attacked. Otherwise, if our borders have been violated please inform our military. When outside our borders please refrain from engaging unless attacked. If you have a martial profession, engagement is at the discretion of the officer in command of your unit. Otherwise please refrain from engaging unless they are trespassing.

As a citizen it is expected of you to keep the Kings peace, and respect all trade and current military treaties with other kingdoms.

Article Two: Ranks of our Kingdom

Your rank is directly proportional to the time and responsibility you commit to our kingdom. There are civil ranks, martial ranks and diplomatic ranks.

The King is the leader of our kingdom and is responsible for the actions of all our citizens. He or she is the political and martial figure head. He or she will direct military action, and diplomacy. He or She may revoke or grant diplomatic and martial ranks.

A Marshall is appointed by the King to take charge of all major military operations, and ensuring the Kingdom is militarily strong at all times.

A Duke or Duchess is the leader of multiple cities. They may grant baronies. The must provide levies for the kingdom and govern their cities. A Duke holds claim

A Count or Countess is the leader of one city. They may grant baronies. The must provide levies for the kingdom and govern their city.

A Baron or Baroness is the leader of a manor. The must provide levies for the kingdom and govern their manor.

Craftsman are the backbone of our kingdom. They produce everything we need. This is the lowest civil rank.

A Knight

A Sergeant leads his unit when the officer is absent. Sergeants are responsible for knowing the duties of their officer and will issue gear to all members of their unit.

The Men At Arms is lowest military rank. These members will go on patrols and participate in all military engagements. They are expected and follow the orders of all officers above them. When not involved in military tasks they may spend time working at their civil profession.

An Ambassador is in charge of creating treaties with other kingdoms of behalf of the King.

A citizen is the lowest diplomatic rank. Everyone regardless of rank is a citizen. They are not expected to conduct diplomacy but please be aware that your interactions with foreigners represent our kingdom.

The Peasant is the lowest rank. You are responsible for finishing your training as quickly as possible. You must also determine your role as a citizen.

Overall advancement will depend upon the expansion and needs of our kingdom. Each rank will require more time and more responsibility. Your willingness to contribute in these areas may be a factor in determining advancement.

Peasants will advance automatically when a Knight has finished training them determines they are fit for duty. From that moment you will meet with the King to discuss you placement in the kingdom.

For any Diplomatic or Martial rank advancement is determined by the King and those ranked above you. For any noble rank you must recruit volunteers willing to work for you. Please speak to the King and they will help you with recruitment.

Unfortunately as there is only one King advancement to this rank will be very slow. Once elected this position is kept until given up or voted out. Only Counts and Dukes may vote and be elected by a majority vote.

Article Three: Leadership of Our Kingdom

In order to organize and prioritize objectives, our kingdom will be run like a constitutional monarchy. Those who work hard and dedicate time will be rewarded with leadership. The Parliament must approve all changes to the Code of Dominion. The Parliament will be organized into three houses. Every citizen will have a vote in the house they belong to. A majority vote is required in each house for a petition to pass. The House of Nobles will hold weekly meetings that every citizen may attend. Any decision that is not in the power of the King or Queen must be decided on by a vote from the House of Nobles.

The House of Nobles will be every landowner. The house of Warriors will be every citizen with a martial profession that does not own land. The house of Craftsman will be every citizen with a civil profession that does not own land.

Any Citizen may draft a petition to be voted on at the next Parliament meeting.

A Petition for Progress is to change any and all laws governing our kingdom. If a new member has an idea we hope to read it.

A vote of no Confidence is to depose a King who is no longer fulfilling their responsibilities. Should this vote pass Parliament the King or Queen will be demoted to their previous rank.

A Petition for Agreement is when the King reaches terms for an agreement with another kingdom he or she must submit a written copy of the treaty to the Parliament.

A Petition for War is when the King wishes to declare a formal declaration of war in order to achieve any goals. The Parliament must vote on a Declaration of War. If it passes a Declaration of War will be delivered to our enemies.

Article Four: Citizenship

Those seeking Citizenship must will be granted limited rights and the rank of volunteer. Upon completion of your training you must decide where you will live and your profession. You must swear loyalty to our King and accept our laws.

If you wish to renounce your citizenship you forfeit all property, land and rank to our kingdom.

The welfare and protection of every citizen is the responsibility of our nobles.

Baron
Assistants to their Duke. They make sure everyone is on task and is focused on the task at hand.

Bishop
Our clans moral and spiritual experts. These folk help us stay sane in times of hardship.

Knight
Our Knights are the spearhead of our attack; the focus points of all our military activity.

Squire
The preparer. The messenger. These men are responsible for making sure we are prepared for whatever may come our way.

Man at Arms
Our best and most efficient fighters. These powerhouses wreck anything that stands in their path. And help train the rest of our force to be as good as them.

Rider
Our very own calvary. Our Riders will charge into battle on the backs of equestrian beats; cutting our enemies to the ground.

Sergeant
The ‘on the ground’ decision makers. These men make sure the people they are tasked to command get the job done.

Guard
The most alert and active of our troops. These men hold the fort and protect any VIPs or cargo that needs to stay safe.

Footmen
The backbone of our military. Footmen march together and smash anything in their way with their combined might.

LongbowMan
The strongest archers our forces possess. These men are experts in their field, may the lord have mercy on any who come into their range!

Archer
Our regular archers. Their combined force will shower our enemies in arrows.

Peasant
The militia and the human shields of our army. We all must start somewhere!
