I've been having trouble with this game, I just bought it off steam and it's giving me this error, I've tried validating, reinstalling, installing DX9. It's not the specs on my computer, my graphics card is more than enough to run this game. I'm wondering if it's because I have DX 11. I'm not completely sure. Any help appreciated, thanks guys.

It's not because of dx11, they coexist. Try (again?) with the dx9 web setup here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downloa ... aspx?id=35

Failing that, open an administrator command prompt and run: "sfc /scannow" (without quotes)

And if it still doesn't work, try the SDK here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download ... px?id=6812

Thank you for your reply, I appreciate it. my scan told me this, after I scanned it, I'm not sure how to fix what needs fixing. The web setup says it's current, and the SDK says there's an error, one thing at a time, though, and again, thanks for the help.

Well, this isn't a guarantee... once you're corrupted, it's not always possible to fix without a complete windows reinstall, but if you're running windows 8+ this should work (and if not, there's a section for 7+ here too:)
