This is my suggestions that should make hunting more enjoyable:
My problem about hunting is: It's useless to use anything else than a sling. It took me 21 Javelins (warrior skill 90+) to kill a boar. It wouldn't havbe taken me more shots with a sling... I think this is insane. Hunting is not enjoyable this way.
My suggestion is:
Animals should have much less hp or damage resistance.
To compensate this, they should deal much more damage.
Here is an example:
1 Javelin to the Head would kill a boar. Or 2-3 to the Torso.
But also: A boar should be able to knock you out with 1 Charge.
Of course we would have to adapt this to the different kinds of animals. Of course a bear should be a real threat compared to a boar!
But this way hunting would be really enjoyable when using smithed weapons, while not being too easy!
Right now it's just frustrating... I mean... 21 Javelins, many of them headshots... That's simply dumb in my opinion.
