A TAVERN!

161
Oh how we played for hours and after raids we and our friendly allys wanted to all gather at one spot to share the looot/and have some rp fun!
We needed a TAVERN,.
It should have a simple setup like any tavern, and it should have rooms a scary basement and such.

Outside look! Example.

I like this concept and it adds flare for both RP and visual effects. What is better then going along in the wilderness and stumbling upon a tavern. This could open so much in the game play that it would be great. Taverns were very important in that if there were problems in the area, the tavern was how people found out about it. It was also a pace people put notices up for things like jobs, wanted lists and other notices. It was also the place that people could leave messages for others or a place that a traveling merchant could rest at. Taverns were basically the "Facebook" of medieval times. Our world history was heavily shaped by what took place in taverns from secret meetings of rebels to hiding slaves on their way to freedom.

I heartily vote for the Tavern and all it's mechanics that will enrich the game. I think a tavern that you can rent a room at for the night would be great especially if they put negative effect for weather conditions in.

You can already use something like a Large Stone House as an inn or tavern. There's even a staircase leading to individual rooms on the 1st floor.

Put down some tables, bench, chairs, barrels of mead or wine, and you got all the basics.

It would be nice to be able to interact with chairs or beds though. Instead of using the Rest ability you just right click the item and select an option to sit down/lie down.

I like the idea of having a happiness meter that if too low brings negative effects. People have already brought it up. Then having a tavern will help with that. People have brought that up too. A happiness meter doesn't have to be special or demanding or a core part of the game but if it gets too low after a long while you won't be able to do tasks as fast, like if it gets to 20%. Then when you are around a lot of people your happiness meter goes up, adding yet another incentive not to be a lone wolf and join a community. As long as you are around people you are fine, and if you are in a tavern it raises your happiness meter 2x, which helps to make the tavern more of a social thing. I like the idea of having dogs in the game that take a very long time to tame and own (so that you won't see everyone having them but only a few people) that will help your happiness meter too. Plus what is a village or community without a tavern? : )

A building only for roleplaying is not the an good idea. But yes I want a tavern in game. Which is the competitor of the trading house.

In the trading house you are only allowed to trade (sell/buy) materials and non-food products.
In the tavern you are only allowed to (sell/buy) food and animals.

This small addition to this great suggestion does not have lot of game impact and is fairly easy to implement compared to other ideas (like happiness meter).

Well I would love this and already thougth of that.
We roleplayers would love more RP-Content, terefore a tavern would be so cool - missed that several times!

And - just to make it a game-mechanic: There could be guestrooms upstairs ... so you could have a funny rp-time up there, OR new players could set a TEMPORARILY Homepoint there. This could last for ONE prayer-tp or ONE kill, or 2 or more ingame-days...?

Im starting tomorrow on the beta, and I'm thinking about what i want to be, I like the idea of brewing beer and maybe be a barkeeper/inkeeper or what to call it. Cooking food and beverages for my costumers in the village.
Either that or be a healer/alchemy/herbalist.. Dressed in monk robes take care of the people in town in need. :D
Im sure a healer wood come in handy and get himself som gold or goods to trade, but i think I'd enjoy the cooking and tavern keeping more cuz of all the random stuff that happens in the inn.
