I also believe when your carrying it, and you get attacked/your town/village gets raided, i believe your house should be able to be broken into and they take/destroy your safe and take all your gold. What does that mean? Guilds can put their gold together and better fight tooth and nail to make sure no one takes it. This also means that someone who chooses to live that life, can make it worth their while to be able to be one of the richest ppl on the server. Just my thoughts on it.

All coins will not have the same value (every kingdom can have his coin)
If a kingdom makes lot of coins and none sells something with the price listed in this kingdoms coins then they better use their coins as teraforming material (this is how it works in real life)

I do want to see money implemented into this game. It should be made in a way that is quite difficult to make a coin. So that way the economy doesn't crumble. Making a pure gold coin should require a method of refining the quality of the gold over and over and over till it reaches an acceptable level. Then after that is done you should be left with a very small amount of pure gold left, from which you might have enough to make one gold coin. The coin's stamp should be customizable according to the Kingdom's decision.

It would make trading posts more useful too. Which so far I have not even been able to use it at all.

What they could do is have a price comparison board for the average price level between diffrent currencies to help places establish a value.

We´ve got currency and a trading System on our Server for long time ... and mostly the silver coins are used.

It also doesn´t ruin the economy if one clan got´s all of the gold. Even in Lif, currency can´t be eaten! Aditional I´m sure, if the economy is dictatet by just a few players, there will be GM´s which can steer a little bit against that. Even in MMO.

For the mint perhaps the leader of an Tier 5 Monument (or Tier 4 in YO) could open a special window where a max. of each currency has to be set. After that, the moneyer can do his Job until this limit is reached (or he runs out of material).

And there should be only one mint buildable for each kingdom.

There also should be a possibility to recycle coins. (Last time I tried, I get iron lumps from silver coins).

Currency is only a good way to trade and it's hard to ruin a economy when you won't accept to exchange coins from a Kingdom A to B .
Imagine if Bitcoin is stopped cause nobody won't exchange them to a other real currency . This valuable become useless .
