Vostaskus steel swords

Well this is just one of those things thats [maybe] easy to implement to the game.

And now to the point. IMO you should be able to make superior weapons from vostaskus as the game atm lacks those lategame kinda like "status symbol" items.

These weapons should work kinda like valyrian steel weapons in GOT, the prized heirlooms of a guild that only the mightiest of warriors should swing around.

Well and now to the stats: to make these swords kinda useful and balanced at the same time the cost should be astronomical but the DMG it deals should also be like 2 or even 3x the dmg normal swords deals, so the costs of the sword(s) should be something like 4ingots for 1h sword and 6ingots for 2h swords, just for these to be the really endgame items to the guilds when the guild has the lvl 4 monument and the blacksmith with 100 skill in forging.

And a little bonus: Just to make these weapons unique they should have the option to name them and some unique colour pattern in the blade and the hilt should be some some what different from normal swords.
Just imagine the faces of some dirty peasants when you ride into their little farm with one of those big 2h vostaskus steel weapons of your back.;)

I must respectfully disagree. mmo history has shown that there are no rare items. unless they become unrepairable and even then a smart guild will save them and use them en mass to decide important battles in their favor. see eve online for the folly of assuming hard to build equals rare. they made a similar mistake with the titan concept

Personally I feel like them being able to do additional damage should be a no go, however having weapons (and possibly suits of armor) having an alternate skin/coloration to show them off, and having double or triple the durability I feel would be better. As it stands right now, there is zero difference in either damage or durability from making a weapon out of copper, iron, steel or vostaskus.

I both agree with Mahtafa and Cian and i would say that a Vostaskus sword (for example) should be cool as a high end weapon but it would have to be the rarest item in the game for ever.
It could be calculate that such weapon must ask work of thousands blacksmith during several months to prevent from a multitude of these kind of powerfull weapons in the battlefield.
Mahtafa, are u dreaming of Excalibur during your short nights ? :D

it would basically mean those that are rich can never lose to those that are poor. if i had a sword that can do 2x-3x the dmg of any other weapon, i would be basically unkillable, as i would just put all my stats into constitution, as i would not need strength for damage. however, the re-skining idea i hope will be one of the cosmetic purchases available in the real money shop.
