I pld this game for some hours now and slaughtered alot of people...and ofcourse a few on the battlefield.
But after that...the fun is gone. RP is the most fun aspect of the game tbh...anyone can kill other people. Its much more fun to kill for a good reason or nice story. It will satisfy you. There are far to less RP aspects in the game tbh at this moment, it will cost you alot of players.
1. Everybody looks the same...(armors etc).
What to do: Implement new armors, clothing, RP clothing (royal dress, kings mantle etc).
2. All the weapons are the same...
What to do: Implement a upgrade feature...make your weapons stronger, give them attributes. Chances to make weapons with better stats etc on a base of luck.
3. Let the characters interact with furniture....sleep on a bed, sit on a chair etc. It will make the RP better.
4. Keep it interesting
What to do: Implement some random events. There are alot of moments that you can't do something because you need to wait for your constructor etc. There is not much to do otherwise...what is your goal when you finished your settlement? Most of the people will go to war...when that is finished, the losing party will stop playing or everybody will leave the server. Why? because there isnt much else to do...
We are in GREAT need of RP aspects in the game.
5. Combatlogging and "move" ability.
Alot of people are logging out when they are losing the fight...implement something that makes it impossible. The move ability is way to OP and doesnt bring any excitement in battle...it will give the people to run from a fight even easier (its almost as fast as riding a horse, lol?!).
6. Bridges and possibility to build rivers.
7. Possibility to make oil for traps/fire arrows.
Your real question should be: How do I keep my players at my game right?
The answer: Keep them occupied in every way! RolePlay is THE only solution for this game. It will bring you a whole different people than you have now in your game. At this moment you can't keep the same players for over a few months. In a few months Bannerlord II will be there. It will have a much better engine and most likely alot of players will go that way. But there is no RP involved in that game.
This is the opinion of a former competitive gamer who have seen it all.
P.S.: If there is money, use it for more DEVs. If there is not more money...search for it :P:P:P. The most players have shown alot of trust in you guys. But it's going to take to long in my opinion. I am just being honest here and I wish it was otherwise. If you want a better chance of succes you guys need to step on it (hard if you don't have the people and money ofc).
