Most of the default actions are not usefull to my mind. I don't want to inspect everything all the time. i want =>
-crate/chest/barrel/wardrobe/warehouse => OPEN
-kiln/furnace/forge/blacksmith shop... => MANAGE
-coop/barn/stable... => MANAGE
-Gate/gatehouse => OPEN/CLOSE
-drying frame/tanning tube => PICK UP/USE
As our own default action always dissapear, i would like the game default action to be intelligent and fit to our real needed actions. I never need to inspect a barrel or a stable, i just want to open or manage it.

i know that ! but i'm bored to apply an intelligent default action all the time. Why dev want us to inspect everything when we always want to open/manage ? Why they want us as a default action to deconstruct a building instead of constructing it ???

0Default action is still very buggy, since everytime I log off, I need to re-choose all my default actions.
Its not a game breaking issue, but it is quite a nuisance. They can add simple coding to save your configuration
in a file somewhere (it takes about 4 mins of programming). That will make everyones life easier and will ensure
you only have to choose once. -

Oh, but you don't even have to log off. Go and set default cut down as default action for spruce, say, or pine, then perform default action on birch or oak — have a nice sprout! Works both ways. Some may argue that it's useful for harvesting soft/hard wood only, but when you deforestating large areas, like, whole acres — this argument is completely invalid. -

I agree that the default action should never be to inspect except on trees, but there is a need to inspect many things because you learn/increase certain skills by inspecting things. -
