By the looks of it, the game doesn't currently replenish many important resources in the game. In my opinion, over a period of in-game months, dirt, clay, sand, rock and other somewhat valuable resource should replenish to their original state. As for ore, it should replenish after an in-game year. This replenishment of the world to the original state should only happen to areas which aren't on a claim. Not only will this replenish missing resources but it will remove rock and dirt piles which people piled up months ago and abandoned the land. Mines that are supported should be protected from this replenishment system until they eventually collapse.

I would like to see some sort of implementation of this. i couldn't tell you how many servers i jumped on to play , only to find that most of the map was bare from deforestation and all the settlements gone from decay. if nothing else i would like to see trees repopulate after x amount of time.

Trees should regrow, soil should replenish (very slowly), but not rock/ore

Trees already reproduce on their own. Other ressources don't, and shouldn't. It makes trade or conquest compulsory, and that's very good. How are rocks supposed to regrow ? same goes for ore, it would be far too easy.

A small island will eventually run out of iron, rocks, and a bunch of other important resource. It's only a matter of time before they do and force players to remake a new server which is terrible for a game like this. While metals and rock don't regrow, they also don't magically vanish from the world like they do in the game. Items dropped on the ground, vanish. Structure that break or decay, vanish. Recycling items, some non-renewable resources, vanish.

Also I'm not asking for these metals and rocks to replenish in a short period of time, but in a longer period of time. Much longer than trees and so on. I don't believe resources should replenish on claims, because some people break down rock just so they can have it cave-in and eventually be flattened once it turns to dirt.

this is something that I hope is already planned for the MMO... because, years after the release, the world won't look normal and there will be terraforming everywhere :s

I like the idea, I was assuming they would have to do something like this. Clay basically needs to be infinite otherwise it will just get used up very quickly. With the collapsing of mine it seems like they have implemented similar features already. But +1 regardless
