Warehouse management and transport Working on

55
Could be a very good considering the idea improve the warehouses interface like what can accept or not, so villagers are forced to store what you don't want in a specific building somewhere else. This can be very helpful to manage all the resources as well as the possibility to set what product to accept and how much quantity!

The other possible thing could be a sort of transport, like a building where you can give orders to move a specific good from one warehouse to another. In this way management could get a very good bost.

I would love to see this implemented, as well as the ability to pull resources out via 1st person mode. I don't mind having to micromanage things, however I am completely helpless with all my chickens dying of starvation. My pasture keeper just plain doesn't take care of the chickens. I've tried everything from adding more pasture workers to moving all resources next to coop, and even restarting game several times.

I hope they add this aswell as a pasture management... say i can hold 48 chickens in my field but can only feed 15.... it should allow me to set a max animal allowed to anything so if i set to 15 it will kill one each time a new animal is born/hatched.

Exactly, a profession for this could be very awesome! Settings priority all over your storages could represent the key feature to a stable economy, "from producer directly to the consumer" with a fast efficient delivery in the zone of interest. Also the spreading of tools and cloths could bring to better workers performance. Actually they run everywhere to find what they need, leaving they workplace for a very long time.

    There are so many possibilities.

Regarding the pull request, it would be nice if the amount can be selected. On this way, you can ensure that all warehouse have some ressources, but only a limited amount. Would be useful for e.g. building sites.

I think something like this would be great. I would like to see even more the storage's and barn's inventories linked up so that resources can be more easily shared across different locations, though. But, if the devs think that would be too cheaty or unrealistic, then I would like to see something like your suggestion, where things can be transferred where needed.

    What we need are markets.
They will serve as a local hub, where there will be a little be of everything, and a worker will have to bring the items to the market from the far away barns.

This will provide a somewhat even distribution of food, tools, clothes and fuel.

They really should dev markets. I got my ore and stone stocked on one side of my city, and my workers can't get it across to where i've planned my port...where I need the resources...A market inbetween, where traders bring the goods from the warehouses, and where workers could pick it up for use, would improve the game a lot.

Yes, a market similar to the one in Banished (easy to copy? :) )... An alternative is individual stalls and carts like Colonial Charter has. You could arrange them any way you like and separate goods easily. They also look great when busy :)

So far, the developers have not come up with how to adjust the allocation of resources, offer a temporary option. Make a warehouse in the UI button on / off loading. And button completely unloaded (as discharge occurs during the demolition of the building). Then the residents will move products to other stores where was applied allowed.

It something the game needs, but at the same time more control over storage and transporting is required. For example in Banished it annoyed me that my logging and firewood camp's market always stocked logs and firewood when it's nearby stockpile was overflowing with the resources. Simple allowing the player to decide what can and can't be stored in a warehouse\barn would give a more manageable means of handling overall economy. If a transport company is added, having the same control over what it can and can't ship would be great. It would be a step above what most games like Banished currently has!!! Overall totally in love with this game!!!

Trying to organize and offer some of my thoughts on this subject.
The text is large, so I apologize if the automatic translator made a mistake.

    1. Consider changing AI user population.
For example right now working to do the work (terraforming / Building / gathering resources / firefighting)
and the first priority is not clear.
Perhaps it makes sense to create a priority management system.
Possibly control this should be not a character as some suggest a building (such as the Town Hall).

    2. In the town hall (or the special character / or elsewhere) could be carried out priorities for the management and possibly transport between warehouses and barns.
For example the choice of the options (evenly distribute products / distribute evenly only food / distribute materials only)
Of course, ideally, the majority wants parameters any goods which wear ... But would not it be too tedious?
In fact, we do want all residents were well fed and all production work.
With a uniform distribution of it will be available.
For exclusively industrial or food areas (for fine adjustments fans) can make automation ban button distribution of goods between warehouses in the GUI of warehouses.

even just a supply manager worker spot that is assignable once more then one barn is built that increases with more that are built, with resource caps you can set and they maintain the transportation, either way love the game, would love to see this fixed so my villagers stop starving to death even though another barn is close enough to walk to but don't cause they are based off another just a little closer, either way you are doing awesome, keep it up
