Hello all,
I think one of the few things in this game that needs to be made more realistic is the crafting system for arrows and bolts. As many have suggested the primitive bow and basic arrows should be under the hunting skill not the bow mastery. I like the current bow craft requirement for crafting bows and arrows but arrows should be more complicated than just one billet and one feather (and possibly a metal band). I think they should require an arrow shaft(made under bow craft skill with knife and a billet), arrow head, and three feathers. The arrow heads should be made from flit for a primitive arrow (possibly through a flit-napping skill) or metal in the forge and anvil. The metal arrow heads should require between one common lump (field points) and three common lumps (broad heads and bodkin). With these changes making arrows more expensive to make, there would need to be a recovery function for fired arrows with a possibility of them breaking when hitting certain things. trees and targets should do very little damage possible none and thus have nearly a 100% recovery rate, but hard targets such as armor and animals should do a fair amount of damage and have a lower recovery chance possible like 50% Just some ideas to make the game more interesting.
