Purpose:

For the next few months we will be focusing on mechanics and will be treating the server as a common PVP mechanics server. As such, if the mechanics allow it, you may do it.

Rules:

Use Common Sense. If it feels wrong, it is.
No spamming Global chat. It's for requesting assistance from staff.
Do not ask questions that can be answered by the wiki in the global chat. While I understand that the game is VERY new, there's no need to see the phrase 'Where is clay?' 80 times in general chat over the span of 2 hours.
Profanities, Racial Slurs and general insults are not to be tossed around in the global channel.
Spamming the Voice chat will result in banning.

Beyond this, you're on your own.

GM SHOP and how it will work
Every Day for 2 Hours, from 10 EST to 12 EST, I will be waiting at a predesignated location for matters of trade.

This evening I will be selling 3 'Beginner's Kits' for 50 of any Ore.

The Beginner Kits come with the following Goods:

Novice Padded Armor Set x1
Nordic Sword x1
Bread x25

All Item's are deadlocked at a quality of 60.

May this stir things up a bit and get the banditry going!

Just curious, why would you trade a hank of linen when you could have used the linen to make that hank, to make rope?

I haven't been able to make Linen Rope and the others that have given it a try have failed as well. The Hank of Linen is just the Pre-form of the Linen Rope.

The Server is hosted in the US, Dallas Texas to be exact.

odd, I have no issues making it. You need the "Weaver's Toolkit" that a blacksmith can make, to make it.

You can also make steel bars and thin leather legitimately in the game. The only thing you can't make is heavy leather. If you'd like to know the processes, let me know.

If leather can be made, steel is very doable. Was under the impression that leather is impossible right now but, please do express the method to making leather.

Nope, only thick leather and that's because wolves and moose dont drop thick hides.


Slaughter a rabbit, put the fur on a drying rack for an hour, then put the dried fur in a tannery. (I've had the drying rack glitch out and been unable to remove the hide before, you need to reset the server to clear the rack of the bug) That is how you make thin leather.


All of that needs to be done by a farmer.

Well, with this announced I will have to do something a bit 'different' with the GM shop.

Due to the painfully slow nature of the game and my total ignorance of setting starting equipment for spawns, we will be shifting toward a Dynamic RP environment.

Server posting and things of this nature will be up before Saturday and we hope to have the building phase of the map completed BY Saturday. Be seeing everyone then!
