Exile Island *Fast Gathering* Active Server

Exile Island is a quickly growing server with great people and a unique plan to add content to the game.

We are based in the US, but we have players on almost 24/7.

We have shortened the time it takes for most gathering chores in an effort to give you a quick start so those joining won't have a hard time catching up.

We usually have at least 10 people online at all times and frequently top 30+ during US primetime hours.

We have an exciting faction system that we will be adding in the next couple weeks that will add a lot of content for those that participate.

We welcome you to visit our website to get more information or stop by the server and ask any questions you may have.

We are building a community around this game and are looking for people that want to form social connections with the people that play with.

Griefers and exploiters have and will be banned immediately, so if your playstyle insists that you make others miserable, we ask that you not waste your time or ours.

While I hate enforcing rules on the way people play games, it is clear that I need to post a few so that we create an environment that is enjoyable and drama free as possible.

1. No tunneling under walls, items, or any other construction. Currently there is no way to repair tunnels and until there is, I will consider this griefing. Instant Ban for anyone doing this.

2. Do not use floating logs, dirt or items to breach defenses.

3. No "glitching" or "Free Falling" into or past defenses. Instant Ban for anyone doing this.

4. Raiding is allowed as long as it is done within the rules. This is a PvP server, protect your items.

5. Vulgar or abusive language will not be tolerated in ANY of our communication formats (Global/Local chat, Forums, Teamspeak, etc.). Yes, it is a game for adults, but the goal of the server is to form a community which will become a guild for the MMO and we want people that get along with others in a civil way even when they get upset.

6. If you are killed, respawn and attack first, that is not considered "corpse camping". If you kill someone, give them the chance to run away. If they attack or try to keep you from looting in any way, you are authorized to dispatch them again until they retreat.

7. While we ask that you keep it to a minimum, scorched earth tactics are allowed. If you need to know what this means...ASK.

8. Griefing by stacking items, moving them up into the air or into walls, etc, will not be tolerated and will result in an Instant Ban.

9. Using mechanics such as luring wolves into other people's areas will be tolerated for now as long as it isn't abused.

10. Anyone that feels they have an issue with another person or group, is welcome to ask for a tribunal where faction leaders will review your case and make a judgement. As the server admin I will enforce their ruling.

11. No using faults in game mechanics to make items "untouchable" such as dumping in water. If you want to destroy an object like a loom or tanning tub as part of scorched earth tactics, you will need to make a campfire, lite it and request a GM to witness you placing the object near the fire. The item will then be destroyed. There are ways to protect your items, use them.

12. No using faults in the game mechanics to "trap" other players. Any method that requires a player to log off the server to fix is not allowed.

13. If you haven't locked it up, built a fence around it, or have it in your inventory.... it's not really yours and someone is bound to steal it. *** WARNING *** Houses are NOT considered "safe" containers. Leaving unsecured bags in them is too risky with the current game mechanics to protect. Build chests or warehouses for complete security. I will not restore lost or stolen items that were left unsecured in houses.

14. Editing game files in any way to exploit, grief or otherwise compromise the server or game assets will result in immediate banning.

I have decided that in line with our faction system, all registered faction "Home Fief" bases will be considered protected by a monument and immune from any sieges until siege weapons are implemented. At that time we will revisit the issue once we test their capabilities.

Registered Factions MUST show the GM which base they choose to be their "Home Fief" base for it to be declared as such.

THE ONLY exception to this rule will be bases that leave gates unclaimed or unlocked. In this case, raiding is allowed, but NO claiming buildings or setting home points inside will be allowed.

Any bases built by registered factions, outside of their "home fief", can raided, but only through a scheduled Siege Match.

Bases built by individuals or unregistered groups will be off limits completely unless they initiate aggression and become flagged by the Faction Council as a "Rogue Province". After that they may be attacked through a scheduled Siege Match.

16. Have fun and leave the drama at the login screen.
