Our Team is working on a LIVE MAP which is based on the real database data..

our developer is testing and developing it.
if it is finished you can also use his features..
he will make an online portal where u can register and use his services (later)

Hi there,

thanks to gms0012 who released me from the burdon to publish this news myself 8-) :evil: :beer:

I wrote a small post in english language to give you some information about what is already working in the map and what is to come.

As soon as I finished some more data layers and heat maps I will work on making the map available for you.

we also took a second big game server to the alpha test stage

show players position = cheat

the best solution is show the guild and information to them, all other information is either unnecessary or bordering on cheating

I have already prepared the basic version of the map,
I've dealt with what is logical to appear on the map, and the result is: certainly not the player

"show player position = cheat" may be true if you are playing pvp only.

player layer is planned to be for gm or admins only anyway

each admin will be able to decide himself, what layers he will publish to what access role (admin, gm, guild-leader, player, public, ...)

Of course, that for pvp, or else show the players to miss the point :)

It would make sense in pvp where the leader of the guild had access to the map under the password and see only players from your guild - i hope you're thinking about it, what the layer makes sense and what not

you are right about thinking more careful about the layers.

for now it is just learning and experimenting around visualizing some data and performance tests for mass data. and it makes lot of fun ;-)
one of the next steps will be to implement authentication and role model, then we will figure it out and sharpen the layers more and more.

i agree that it may not so interesting to see where each tree is located on the server ;)
(maybe also for admins to detect unwanted tree farms, which also are a good candidate of bad server performance)

but i don´t think that it is useless for an admin to see, where the players are digging around (at least until they improve the game performance more and more)

one point I take from your comment is for sure adding a guild filter to the player layer for the roles "guild manager" and below

a second point is that we will think about more statistics and polls about how and how often which layers are viewed by users (later)

on guilds i can give a tip: from database can be read that the player belongs to what guild, we can read who is the leader of the guild and each player can be read many times was killed and by whom

I like your map very good, I am not looking for a 114 functions map, what you have is exactly what I would need, is there any progress on making an account to use it for our own servers or are you going to share this?

I do not want share code, but we can devise a solution for your server, it would be good if you knew someone who spoke the Czech language

Unfortunately the only one I know who speaks that language is google translate :

Because my time is very limited I decided to discontinue the active development on our LIVE-map.

Hey :D Amazing Live Map but... it is still working? I just install on my server and connect to the db following the steps but... it does not show info.
