Tamable Wolves

13
I feel as though tamable wolves could be a very nice addition to Life Is Feudal. Now before you go and say that it's a horrible idea, hear this out.

- Limit 1 Wolf Per Player
Limiting the player to one wolf would be a good idea to keep things from getting too out of hand.

- Player Must Have a High Enough Animal Lore Level
Having the limit of one wolf I feel isn't enough, so I think making the player have to get their animal lore skill higher keeps it from being too simplistic.

- Taming
Some sort of meat such as Game Meat, Beef, Pork, etc., could be used for taming a wolf. The regular approach to taming should work fine as well.

- AI
For the AI, I think using the same one as they have when wild could be applied, with a few tweaks. Of course they couldn't attack the player who tamed them, but I feel it should be the same for players in the same guild. (Example: 2 guild mates are walking together. One of the guild mates has tamed a wolf and it is following him. The wolf does not attack the other player in the guild because they are in the same guild.) It may be a good idea to add commands or orders that a player can give the wolf. (Example: A player who owns the wolf can set it to "Follow", "Aggressive", or "Stay". Something along those lines.)

A furry companion by your side can help you get through those rough times when you're being attacked, right? So anyway, that's my idea on Tamable Wolves. Tried to keep it short, but get my points in at the same time. If you have any questions or comments or feel I left some important ideas out(Which I probably have), just let me know! Don't worry, I won't bite... my wolf might though!

add the abilty for a wolf to run back to the monument and sit there if your unconscious then someone else in the clan with a high animal lore could follow it back to you...

Actually, wolves doesn't seems like the best idea, but I'm all for dogs. Attack dogs and hunters dogs would look more realistic in my opinion.

The only reason I say wolves is because where would you get the dogs from? Wolves seem like an easier option than adding a new type of animal. Thanks for the opinion though!

I thought if the system allowed you to at least capture the wolves, bring them back and breed them to create a hunting hound, it'd be pretty nifty. But as a game mechanic, it can't be easy to implement. With it being the babysitting of a dog who may or may not act outside your alignment, be either totally useless or incredibly overpowered (no where in between), and generally very clunky. But a cool idea nonetheless.

I don't like the idea, and am voting no. Having a wolf as a pet to help you fight is the equivalent of adding an NPC guard or hireling for your person. If this was possible then *everyone* would go this route, as the wolf could attack a hostile player directly while the owner relied on missile attacks.

Thank you, but no. While a great idea for other games, it does not fit this game.

maybe use dog just for hunting, for personal defense i think is not a good option, you could send your dog to take down rabits and chiken, and as a faster or betther way to track animals.

Love, love, love this idea. Here's how I would like to see it implemented:
At level 90 in Animal Lore, OR, at level 0 in Dog Training, you can tame a Wolf into a Pet Dog that will follow you around.
Add a skill called "Dog Training." Using that skill, you can pet your dog (lvl 0), train it simple commands and tricks like Sit, Stay, Go Home, Fetch (for light objects) (lvl 30). At higher levels, you can train to to be a Hunting Dog (lvl 60), a Guard Dog (lvl 90), or an Attack Dog (lvl 100).
To regulate overuse of Attack Dogs, here are some ideas:

    1. Limit number of dogs in general, or Attack Dogs in particular, to 1 per player. (I personally don't like this idea. I think since there are no NPCs, we should be allowed to have unlimited dogs.)
    2. To train an Attack Dog, you have to be lvl 100 in Dog Training.
    3. You cannot command a dog that another person has trained...
    4. And/or, you cannot command a dog unless you are the same level required to train it.
    5. You can't convert any trained dog to another trained dog (i.e. you can't train a Hunting Dog to be an Attack dog).
    6. Dogs are high-maintenance; they eat a LOT of meat.

Other features that I would like:
-The dog reverts back to a wolf if you forget to feed it. Good idea, Stewbailey!
-You can name your dog. +1, wupang!
-If you are lost, and you have trained your dog Go Home, it will lead you home.

I am a dog lover and have trained several. FWIW. :)

    Mamaaa,
    Just killed a man,
Put a gun against his head, pulled my trigger,
    Now he's dead
    Mamaaa, life had just begun,
But now I've gone and thrown it all away
    Mama, oooh,
Didn't mean to make you cry,
If I'm not back again this time tomorrow,
Carry on, carry on as if nothing really matters

Too late, my time has come,
Sends shivers down my spine, body's aching all
    The time
Goodbye, everybody, I've got to go,
Gotta leave you all behind and face the truth
    Mama, oooh
    I don't want to die,
I sometimes wish I'd never been born at all.
I see a little silhouetto of a man,
Scaramouch, Scaramouch, will you do the Fandango!
Thunderbolts and lightning, very, very frightening me

I love this idea of adding tamable wolves to Block Blast Unblocked! Your suggestions strike a great balance between enhancing gameplay and maintaining game balance. Limiting to one wolf per player and requiring a high animal lore level are smart ways to ensure this feature isn’t overpowered. The use of meat for taming and adapting the existing AI with a few modifications sounds practical and immersive.
