NPC Bandits

31
Some servers are not as busy as the american servers, and I think if there could be an option to add NPC bandits/robbers who can attack your character it would make the game a lot more interesting since in those times it was a big issue. Every now and again they would try to raid smallish villages or random huts.

Please consider implementing it, like what you did with the animal count.

There are many different types of players, thats why I suggested that they should make it OPTIONAL, so you don't have to enable it on your server if you dont want to.

Voted yes, because i hate that now majority on servers are hermits with small cottage and field, people has to understand that if they want to play game about feualism, there is not much space left for anarchy. Feudalism is complex thing, everybody has its place - soldiers (PVP players, crafters (castle builder, blacksmiths etc) or peasants (farmers) I think game should more about it....Robbers attacking village would be threat, robbers attacking castle just target practise :p

I would like NPC bandits (and other types of NPCs) so that RP servers could have GMs possess them for quests and such. Have a merchant who lost his trader cart to bandits show up by the road near the keep and the players can hunt down the bandits and retrieve his cart for a reward of flux, etc. Of course I'm a D&D nerd, so that is where my heart is.

The AI of animals are bad enough. Cant imagine how a npc bandit would react in this world without a ton of work done in scripted behaviours. And besides. This game is all about the mmo! And with a well populated main server, there will be enough of bandits and target practice peasants arnoud. Atleast we all hope so.

This would be a cool option, maybe even have bandits show up more based on how built up an area is.

So a small town would get bandits while a solo guy wouldn't see them as much. Or the solo guy would see bandits with horrible gear and skills.

    Sadly, I agree.

I did not purchase this game for the MMO. I had hoped it would eventually, with enhancements from the authors and the community, make for an awesome sandbox engine to GM my own medium multiplayer game world, mostly RP friends.

I personally like the sound of a/multiple npc villages that grow along with the average of player made locations. Could be based off of the overall average monument sizes in the server.
