Of course i like the idea, as i have made a similar request (
Pastures).
But i am not entirely sure about the terminology here...
For me a paddock is something like this:
"A paddock is a small enclosure used to keep horses. The most common design provides an area for exercise and is often situated near the stables."
Anyways, animals should have more needs than just food. I have written a comment about this in my request.. they should require food, water, exercise and space.
A paddock could be used to provide more exercise and space for horses and to train them for military and agricultural services and of course to saddle them. But they only make sense in combination with a stable.
For feeding and exercise purposes for all the tamed animals you would need a pasture (fenced grassland). For sheep you could actually introduce a sheepdog and have them roam the area around your barn freely.
