0Unless my settings are set too low I don't see the light from the lamp posts at a distance at night. During the day I can see the light from everyone's lamp posts from the top of the mountain, but at night they aren't visible at all. This is the opposite of how light behaves... even in medieval times! -

0Thanks thalrii for the info and for confirming that choosing ultra settings on doesn't help. If you view the screenshots on the forum here at http://lifeisfeudal.com/forum/the-night-t1501/ you will see some great night time lighting. I have played for weeks and nobody travels at night because there's nothing to see.
On a full moon we should get partial lighting, coupled with realistic light distance from fires and lamps I'm sure the night time would be a very nice sight to behold. -

Actually some big towns or cities (like mine) want to have lamp posts or at least some forms of light so the guards, the citizens, and workers will be able to run around with their tools or weapons (bows and quivers don't fit if you have a torch on your back) and be able to take advantage of the raiders who attempt to raid our settlement, and can never use both half handed swords and shields or bows and arrows because they use torches most of the time. So I think that a new night lighting system is probably wanted for big cities and settlements . -
