Having tested for a bit, the glitch seems to be client side, as other people can smelt steel on my server, while I can't get it to work.

Validated the game files and all checks out, so not sure how to fix this.

do you have the correct skill's needed to smelt steel?

which is at least 90, 90, 60?

you need 60 in smelting, to smelt steel.

Guys you can make steel ingots in the forge and anvil too. For all of you who aren't able to make sure you have crucible and tongs.

Bloomery is basically a faster, more reliable furnace.

It can heat up the resources inside to 2000c instead of 1500c, meaning that everything will smelt faster.

If you consider the usual set up of 4 furnaces, 2 kilns powering them - that's 320 iron with 80 coal every smelt. Well, one bloomery has that capacity, the coal amount is roughly the same for the smelt but the time seems to be faster.
