Cannot connect to local server

Post by Raccoon » 11 Mar 2015, 00:16

I am posting this again because no one seems to go to the damn feed back section

So i recently bought this game and decided the best way for me to learn was to create a single player world. So I went to the "Create a world" screen and put in the settings that i wanted and when it was loading, a command prompt box came up and was loading some things then the game said "Cannot connect the local server" I followed the instructions on this thread

stilll-won-t-work-local-server-can-t-be-accessed-t2118/

put still nothing. Please help

I've been having the same problem for two days now, I have looked up the issue on Google and tried using MariaDB and changing some of the info on the ini files. I've also checked the ports on my desktop and router on multiple occasions. So right now I'm at a loss also. Hopefully someone has a simple solution to this, maybe I'm overlooking something.

Same. It's ridiculous that no one has yet to respond. I've tried everything possible to be able to get this to work. I was hoping a dev would pop up and help me out but i guess they dont really care if our issues get fixed.

If i spend money on something i expect to get help when i have issues. I know they are busy but i see them post on the forums all the time to non issue topics

Well, it might be that the server hasn't been updated yet ( rejected-connection-error-cr-invalid-version-t12389/ ), but since it is a Alpha-game there could be something else going on.

Really, you play a Alpha-game, there are lots of bugs and stuff that have to be fixed/implemented, don't complaint about your money, you invested it yourself in a early-acces game.
Ofcourse the Devs do everything to make sure that this game will work, don't think they're assholes, they did a great job so far.

Did you also got this error?

Cuz I think, that the devs have forgotten some files in the last update, so you might get a new game, but the update didn't update those files, since they weren't updated.
I'll make sure this report gets on the bug-report-page, then it would be nice if you can respond to it, so the devs know how big this problem is ;)
