me and my group of 8 people have been digging a cave now for 3 days, and we never find any copper. the detection on copper is 10 and were getting closer, but its very deep down. do we only find copper this low down or can i find easier places to get copper?

Go to a rocky area and right click the ground. Under 'prospecting' select copper and put the range as high as it will go. If you find some redcuce the range and do it again, if you dont find it anymore start moving around until you do and keep reducing the range. Once your at a range of 2 its basically right next to you.

OR

Run around randomly and poke rocks till you just happen to get some. Once you do tunnel in there.
