i have tested and trying out alot off hosting the LIF server on different OS as 2008, 2008R2, 2012, 2012R2, linux/centos + 2003.. (Never do it on 2003 haha) way to many crash.
I found out, ofc linux is the best one, but for windows you should take 2008r2 since is use less ram+space then 2012r2. Never take 2008-2012.. They both sux..
P But i thought about making full LIF VMs people could download and only change the IP+port+databasepassword and then they should be running?
It would be a 15 gb download only?
2008R2, Mysql + LIF dedidcated server? harddrive you just setup into the Hyper-v ?
If it is 2012r2 it would be 35 gb but a shell script that automatic installed Hyper-v + installed the server+network ?
PSo is that usefull for people or?
(yes you can install hyper-v on win7+win8!)
