Most effective PvP setup ?

Post by Degamra » 15 Oct 2014, 17:42

What have you guys found to be the most accurate and effective way to murder opponents??

Armor? Weaponry? Attributes? Stats? and why?

I'm sure people's play styles will differ, so the feedback should be interesting.

Thanks! :good:

naked with a two handed sword for newer players. If you actually know how to use the combat system leather armor and sword/shield.

Any tips on being pro at PvP ?

I have Plate armor, but not very fond of it. I'm a new player, but I come from Darkfall online, so I'm very PvP orientated.

I use a mix of scale and plate armor. I used to wear Leather/Plate but I switched to scale, I find it doesn't make a real difference in speed and you get more protection.

Plate helm and chestplate, and scale gauntlets/leggings/vambraces/boots.

As for weapons, I use a two handed sword (claymore).

All Quality 100, I end up at 90 speed which is not bad if your ennemies don't start running away.

Full plate armor is not very practical, you'll get tired too fast if you don't know how to control your stamina real well. (and ennemies will kite you easily)
I could see full plate soldiers be more efficient when forming a shield wall to block a hallway for example, not in open battlefield.

My usual combat tactic is to go with a few piercing hits at first to cause bleeding and just always try to stay in the back of my opponent.
Control your hits, don't spam. And only run to dodge or get into position for attacking, otherwise you'll get out of breath and that's a death sentence.

Have you tried the 'combo' attacks? Are they effective, because they seem hard to even setup let alone queue up like a normal attack. Do you know if a Claymore does more damage than Flamberge, or are those weapons equal?

Or if you are even more pro...
Naked with a 2h Sword again.

Very informative. I appreciate you sharing your play-style with me. I have learned a lot, and will try it out!

Is crossbow+claymore in light armor a decent tactic for kiting and defeating odds? Anyone try anything similar?

I think all weapons of equal skill level are pretty much the same damage wise. Just pick your favorite skin.

Pvp is griefing. Don't do it or you will be banned or silenced.

Ignore our resident butthurt forum troll who can't tell the difference between pvp and placing fireplaces in peoples bases to stop them from building.

I'm a dex monkey, so I tend to prefer Sabre and light armor, agility and
modest constitution.

I use a Razer Nostromo that I am convinced gives me an edge.

No he's still butthurt over how everyone mocked his 'pvp bandit guide' which was basically all using log off tricks and fireplaces to grief.

He totally lost his cool in that thread and thinks everyone else are carebears or something dumb lol
