And before you begin whining about 0.01 cost changes, or whatever the minimum is, that's the nature of supply and demand and finding an equilibrium price.

If we can get eve type economy, where everything is player made, but be even better because we have QL (in Eve every item of the same type is the exact same quality) this will rock.

This is one of the strongest points of the game. Crafter/trader types will go berserk.

In most games they kill the gameplay for convenience, finally game mechanics that make sense.

Yeah having to go the place to pick up and pay for the goods is going to be interesting. 8-)

Being a mercenary/caravan guard should pay well. You would just need to build a house and hang out in the natural trade hub cities that form from this economy.

I can even imagine "protection rackets" forming like mobsters use to do to merchants and store owners.

Gameplay options will be only as limited as your imagination.

Actually one thing this game does right... it allows killing supply chains/embargo as a gameplay mechanic which encourages pvp.

Having an actual economy enables war or PvP for reasons. You don't only fight for resources but can tip the scales of war through attrition by targeting enemy resources.

The fact everything is player created also goes towards having so much more to lose. Enabling high levels of political maneuvering, diplomacy and bureaucracy.

This is where we will see guilds fall in as vassals content in contributing to a cause or rise above everyone else and rule a kingdom.

Mortal Online has this already, but good to see that they do the same here. F*ck global AH ala Darkfall.
