I am a sucker for realism - so I guess all! :D

I am definitely a PvP'er and RP'er... always was.
Most my main characters in games are either hunters or Knights.

But in LiF I will be a typical hunter/gatherer I guess.
I also like the chores of crafting and gathering as well.

I do not seek out war or trouble - but will definitely fight for my land, my town, my realm and my KING! :Yahoo!:

As I said... I like realism... and in real life you would have it all in some way or another... :)

Im a PVE'er who loves to play in a full PvP world.

I love exploring and changing the world, but the thrill of doing it when you could get killed at any time makes all achievements more satisfying.

Its risk vs reward.

I'm going to play LiF mostly for the big open world battles, castle siege, etc.
But I think exploration/gathering/crafting is also a very important part of the game, especially the building part. :)

I like a mix of all aspects, with PvP and the Crafting/gathering holding most of my interest.

The person you are referring to is no longer a member of the community so reactions to his posts are not needed.

Let's get back on topic and keep posts related to the thread discussion.

I like random PVP on the world map and ambushes on frequently travelled areas

But I would not hang around in the starter areas to kill weaker players.
Those kind of players ruined Darkfall Online.

I've noticed that the current community of LiF players showed less of an interest on PvE. Being one of the few that voted for PvE, i hope some PvE will have a roll in this game. I know hunting will, but maybe some other things like wild horse to tame, and rare animals with furs that sell real nice something should be thought of.

This playstyle will very likely not be viable in LiF as you will experience skill losses for random murder outside from wars.

Could be viable if he only knockdown and loot his victims instead of murder them :) but otherwise it will be very hard, especially as lone raider.

Kibato will not experience skill losses for random murder but skill loss upon death with a bad negative alignment will be a distinct possiblilty and will be an extremely challenging playstyle.

Remember he can make them yield and might be able to manage the alignment through daily prayer and if he is aquiring wagon loads of goods during each attack well you see what I mean. A trader without adequate escort could see him approaching and simply flee leaving the wagon full of goods for him to simply take.

This playstyle actually seems extremely viable if he is smart about it.

He seemingly spoke of random PKers who just go around killing everybody they see. I experienced this in MO a couple of times. This specific playstyle will not be viable in LiF which is a good thing.

I agree, if you're smart about it you should be able to roleplay a brigand.

I plan on becoming a mercenary for hire. Maybe I'll start a mercenary organization that factions can hire to do their bidding. I don't want to be rooted down in one spot, and would rather travel from place to place, and pay for my gear and food by fighting.

Maybe being a traveling merchant would be a good profession, and I could occasionally have to fight bandits off from my goods. I would also have fun being a caravan guard for someone else's caravan.

I like to play mostly PvP with a magic casting character if the game supports magic well enough. Otherwise, I will just use a melee warrior preferably with a 2-hand sword.

GvG definitely the one of the best PvP out there, other than the random 1v1 fight to the death in the wild when you are running with important supplies and don't want to lose them :x .

Life is Feudal is more of a historic medieval simulation. It contains no high fantasy elements such as magic. The links in my sig will give access to almost all of the facts and information available about the game.

I'd like to see an experience that intertwined all of them. Why pidgin hole things, if you can seamlessly blend then together you'll have something far greater than the whole of its parts. :D

Well, I am very much an RP person, but doesn't role-playing incorporate all of these things? :pardon:

With regard to the style of play LiF, at first glance all means Medieval Life Simulator, so everything about the Middle Ages, hoping it does not become a Smash and Slash or the like, because of that kind there are many other games, this is different because it is centered on medieval life. If a player enters LiF, maybe wants to create his peaceful village, but in Medieval life you had to be careful of the Brigands, Politics of Court and other ... Kingdom vs. Kingdom there are several games already, like Stronghold/M&B, but anything can happen in the Middle Ages, for various reasons two clans or factions do not get along, can arise clan wars ... but that is not focused on what the game, and nice to stay in the game a year developing the village, shops and more Upgrade and ... not every day when you are Offline, worry about that you have lost your home after 2 months hard working example... because it passes the desire to play with time 
This is my personal idea of style of play 
Sorry for my English
greetings

I have been looking eternally for an MMORPG where I could really roleplay (alongside with exploring and crafting).
With this I mean that you have a wolrd, in which there is a soiciety and in that society one has to follow the rules of that society (politically, socially, economically, etc).
You can take any role you want (politician, crafter, soldier), but you have to stick to the lore.
In this society it would be grand to really act a role.
You ARE a citizen of that world, only talking about the world, not about football or so.
That's my ideal and that's what I would try to establish here (perhaps in a small community).
Stalin: "RP? I have known thousands who didn't like it. Now they are not here anymore."
My mom: "RP? I'm sure my son doesn't do that, mister!"

Well, I don't care about the lore. Real sandbox shouldn't require one imho.

But it does add some depth and immersion to the world ;) That's why it's MMORPG
