Hello folks,

I have good news for those who wanted to change their nickname due to various reasons but were unable to. This problem is now gone. We have implemented a proper functionality to change your forum nickname. You can also do that manually, by yourself.

If you want to change your forum nickname, go to account settings, type your desired nickname and current password and then confirm the change by clicking 'Change Nickname' button. This change will be applied instantly and you will be automatically logged out during that process.

Quick question though, on my screen (as before when you changed it manually yourself) this changes my display name on forums next to the posts I've made.

However it doesn't change how my name appears in the forum listing.

For example, if I click on "view your posts", it lists all the threads in which I've posted.

Under the "last post" column, it shows who posted last, and if that was me, it shows my original user name, not the updated / changed one.

Here's a screenshot to help you see what I mean (I coverd my name in black because I'd like to keep that one private) :






EDIT : PS If I'm not mistaken, it seems to not be a retroactive change? As in all the posts I made before that change will keep that name and the change I made will only apply for "now and in future" ?

It should be retroactive for you, it is for me x) strangely, this "do it yourself" seemed to delete the name change Arrakis did for me before, I had to do it again through the new method and my "new nick" updated EVERYWHERE, even on the forum member list and my moderator status



Arrakis, this is a good news ! But, can we change it as much as we want ? any time restriction ? We can add our guild tag now ^^ (any news for the custom profile infos I suggested few months ago ? you said the new forum would come, and I guess it should come with the new forum too ^^ )

Same. I never even had a chance to pick my "nick". Website jsut dumped me with this partial email of mine when i registered...

Nickname must consists of a sequence of 3 to 32 characters;

• a-z, A-Z, 0-9, and _

No special symbols are allowed.

How do you change your nickname if you sign in with Google? It requires a password to change, but the Google password does not work.

Log out and use reset password option to generate a new password for the account.

Player approved, this fix worked, and when tried by the player, the game did not crash requiring a reinstall!
